I awoke to a face I never seen before. He look about forty and had dark black eyes that matched his hair. His olive skin tone was decorated with scars.

I was in a unfamiliar cabin. I laid upon a small twin bed with a quilt. There was a couch with a small tv and a kitchenette. It was warm and cozy with a fire place blazing on the far wall. There was a hallway with multiple doors leading to I wasn't sure what.

"Are you well?" He asks in a gruff voice. I nod, not trusting my voice.

"Jon, come in."

Jon? Who is that?

Then a face came into view that I thought I never thought I see again.

My dad.

I shot straight up and gaped.

"Daddy?"

"Hey baby girl." There were tears in his eyes as he watched me with pure love as he stepped closer. The bed dipped in as he sat next to me. I hugged him. He smelled as he always had. Woodsy and earthly.

My dad stroked my hair as we cried and hugged a reunion neither of us thought would ever happen.

I didn't care that he left, I was just glad he was there with me now and at this moment.

"Baby girl, this is my Alpha, Nick. I'm his beta."

I smiled weakly as I wiped away my tears and shook his hand.

"You gave me a bad scare, Alpha Nick."

He chuckled at my remark and hugged me," I'm terribly sorry. I smelled an unfamiliar wolf and I had to go see."I nodded and looked outside, it was dark.

"Dad, what time is it?" I asked, he looked at his watch and said "2:34 A.M." My eyes were about to burst from my skull, I've been gone for over 12 hours! I left around breakfast and ran until I got here. I located a phone and dialed Tom's cell. I carefully put my phone to my ear and braced myself for fireworks.

"Tom?"

All I got in reply was a sigh of relief. So I tried again.

"Tom."

"Raina! Where are you?! I've been running around looking for you. The pack is looking for you. Your mom is freaking out and Sterling is ready to call the police. So where. Are. You?"

"I'm with my dad."

A pause.

"Your dad? Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yup, I'm great. I should probably call Sterling. Bye Tom." I disconnected.

"Was that Tom, as in Kerri's brother?" My dad question.

"Yeah."

"Why is he so worked up he has the pack looking for you?"

Sighing, I squared my shoulders, "Daddy, Tom and I are mates."

He stroked his chin, "And this, Sterling boy?"

"Also, my mate."

My dad laughed and patted my back,"No he's not. He took a drink to make any unmated young female wolves want him."

I blushed and looked down, thinking about how jealous I was of Tesha marking his house.

"But he kept trying to compete with Tom."

"He was just supposed to go over there to see if you and Tesha had a mate already."my dad says.

"If you wanted to know, why didn't you visit?" There was a lump in my throat and tears stung my eyes.

"The pack and I don't get along." He explained. I was thinking about it until Sterling came into the cabin. My heart leaped.

"Raina." He took me into his arms," I was so worried."

"Son, let her go. She's already one's mate." Said the Alpha.

"Mine." Sterling growled, pulling me closer.

I can see this can be a problem since he wasn't supposed to want me.

"Sterling, let the girl go." Alpha Nick repeated.

Sterling growled and crushed me in his arms to the point where I couldn't breathe.

"Let-go." I choked out, my oxygen level going low.

That's when Tom decides to bust in and pushes Sterling. I had no clue to how he found me. I'm dropped to the floor, trying to catch my breath. Tom and Sterling roll around the floor in wolf form, growling.

"ENOUGH!" The Alpha commanded. Both wolves stopped, trotted to both my sides and bowed their heads as if to say,"sorry"

What was I going to do with two wolves fighting over me?
