You Had Me At "Stop Peeing On My Yard!"

Tom, Sterling and I sat around the table. The boys eyed each other, I sighed internally.

"Raina, aren't you tired?" My father asks as he walks towards the sink to get a glass of water. I shook my head, feeling my wolf stir inside me.

"I feel like going for a run." I said, getting up from my chair. Tom and Sterling got up at the same as I did.

"No, it's okay you guys. I'll run alone."

"No, you won't. You don't know these woods. Something might happen." Sterling reasoned with me.

My wolf didn't like being told what to do, she growled at him. I walked to the door, determined not to let anyone get in the way. I walked out and shifted into my wolf. She pawed at the ground, getting ready to run. So she did was she's been wanting to and ran.

She ran.

She ran from Tom.

She ran from Sterling.

She ran from just about everything.

I ran until I was too tired and troted back to the cabin. I opened the door and rushed into the bathroom to take a warm shower to soothe my achy muscles. The hot water made my skin slightly pink, I washed my hair with some strawberry shampoo. Getting out I slipped on a clean robe and towel dried my hair. It fell down my back in tangled curls, I brushed my hair with my fingers. My reflection looked sad and lonesome.

Leaving the bathroom, both rooms were taken. Sighing I went into the living room, Tom was asleep on the couch and Sterling was sleeping on the bed were I awoke from earlier. I paced the living room, the sun beginng to rise. I decide to make breakfast.

I looked through the fridge and found some eggs and ham. I cracked the eggs on the skillet and listened to them sizzle. On one side I scrambled the eggs and the other side and I fried the ham.

I felt arms go around my waist and heard "What's cooking, good lookin'?" I turn around and see Tom, looking disheveled. I smirk and turn around, placing the eggs and ham on a plate and handing it to him.

Tom kisses my cheek, "Thanks babe." He takes a piece of ham and places it in his mouth. "Mmmmm, that's good. You want some?" Before I could answer, Tom places ham in my mouth, rubs my bottom lip with his thumb.

Before I realized what was happening, we were leaning towards each other and pressed our lips together. That was when I knew Tom was my true mate.

Mate.

The words swam in my head as Tom and I hung on to each other. We kissed for a long time until I smelt something burning. I forgot to turn off the stove.

"Damn!" I quickly turned it off, hoping the smell wouldn't wake anyone up. Tom came up behind me and kissed my neck, I leaned my head back just savoring the feeling as he placed kisses along my neck.

Someone pulled me away and I felt cold. I opened my eyes and see Sterling, he looked vivid and his nostrils flare. "Go take another shower Raina. You smell of him." He growls at me. Placing my hands over my chest I look him in the eye and say "No."

"You don't say no to me. You're mine." Sterling growls.

"You don't own me!" I yelled back at him.

"The hell I do!" Then he lunges at me.

"RAINA! NO!" Tom yells before he shifts.
