Y/n POV
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Rosie's voice.
"Your majesty, it's seven thirty in the morning. Your parents are waiting in the breakfast room." She sweetly informed me.
I groaned and opened my eyes slowly. The sunlight entered my bedroom through the large glass window. Rosie had opened the curtains and was now standing next to my hairdresser. I stared at the ceiling for a few seconds, causing Rosie to laugh softly at my laziness. I stood up from the bed and put my slippers on. Stretching, I let out a yawn and smiled at Rosie.
The memories from last night hit me, and I was not capable of stopping the smile that formed on my face. I had fun dancing at the ball last night. But the cause behind my smile was the Evans family. Well, one of them specifically. I was extremely excited to show them around the city. The capital of our beautiful Kingdom. However, I was going to be taking them to a special place.
Rosie helped me fix my hair and applied some light makeup on me. I wore a pink jumper made of velvet. The jumper had short sleeves and pockets. I grabbed a small black backpack and put my phone alongside some other necessities inside.
"Let's go, Rosie." I smiled at her and we interlaced our arms.
Once we arrived at the breakfast room, I noticed Thomas and his parents were sitting there, too.
"I apologize for being late." I smiled at everyone, and they smiled back.
I had to fight the need to roll my eyes. How could they act like nothing was happening? Do they really think we like the arrangement? Thomas had a sad stare in his eyes. And I'm pretty sure I had it, too. I shook my head and finished breakfast quickly. Why? The last thing I wanted was to spend much time with the group of people that are forcing me to get married. And because I was impatient, wanting to see the Evans family.
During breakfast, everyone was incredibly silent. The tension was thicker than an iceberg. However, I was thankful for the lack of conversation. I ate faster and didn't even have a glance at any of them. Except Thomas. We exchanged a few glances here and there. He wanted to punch everyone in the face and run, too.
After I finished my breakfast, I excused myself and bit my lip at the excitement of seeing Chris.
I know, it's ridiculous. But he made my heart beat louder than ever last night. And all we did was exchange a few words and glances.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know him better because there is no way I'm marrying Thomas. I have no clue how, but I'm stopping this arrangement.
If Chris made me feel like that with just a look, what would happen if we got to know each other more?
Soon enough, I saw them waiting in one of our castle's living rooms. My gaze went directly to Chris, and I smiled at him shyly.
Chris POV
After arriving at the castle, the guard guided us to one of the many living rooms, so we could wait for Y/n there. We brought the kids because we didn't want neither them nor my sister's husbands to stay in the hotel by themselves.
It wasn't long before I saw her walking towards us. Since the moment I met her, I couldn't believe someone that beautiful existed. I obviously tried my best to hide my slight crush. I'm not even sure if I'm really crushing on the Princess, but I'm sure any man would be lucky to have her love. She's beautiful and was very nice to my family last night. I can tell she's a very humble and down-to-earth person, but I guess I'll find out later during the day.
