"What if you and I are meant to part ways, so that we can find each other again."

Author's POV

Chanhee lays on the bed, asleep. It was past midnight. His eyes squeezed hard as he starts sweating. "I am sorry! Please please let him go. Please I will do anything. Just let him go. He doesn't deserve this!" Chanhee frowns in his sleep. His fingers clutching on his bedsheet. He started finding it hard for him to breath. The man in his dream screams as he watches his lover getting killed. Chanhee wakes up with a scream of his own. He looks around his room breathing heavily. He felt choked up. His heart pained unknowingly. He clutched the shirt against his chest as he breaths in and breaths out.

It was always the same. Always the same nightmare every night. This was not a problem when he was young. The dreams had started after Chanhee got involved in an accident. The dreams had been there since then. He is not sure what the dream is exactly about but it was scary. Seeing a person die again and again everyday. Chanhee sighs as he wipes the sweat away from his forehead. He pulls away the blanket from over him and gets off the bed. He goes to stand in front of the window his room had from where the moonlight poured in. He looks at the moon. "So beautiful." He mumbles.

Chanhee thinks back to the man he had seen in his dream. 'He is beautiful too.' he thinks to himself. And despite the scary nightmare he had gone through a small smile plays on his lips. His heart soared when he thought back to the man in his dream. "Who are you?" He asks as he eyes the beautiful full moon. He sighs as he draws the curtain as he goes to bed. He lays down pulling up the blanket over him. He closes his eyes hoping to not have the same dream again. He needed a peaceful even if it was for only tonight. He drifts off to sleep when the man from his dreams in his mind.

Next Morning~

Chanhee sits on the counter as he holds the bowl of cereal he had prepared as his breakfast. The dream didn't appear again thankfully and he slept a bit better. After he finished eating he washed the bowl and the spoon he used and put them in his place. He lived alone in an apartment which wasn't too small nor too big. It was just the perfect size for him to live alone. It was cozy and just right.

He goes to freshen up and get dressed to go to his part time job. He worked in a well known cafe which one of his older friend owned. It paid very well. He was also studying in college but at the time it was still summer break. "Done. I look good." He said to himself as he looked at himself on the mirror with a smile. He puts his shoes on and goes out with the small backpack he carries around with him every day where he puts his phone and all the necessities.

He locks his apartment and then put the key inside the bag. He walks to the cafe where he works as it was near. When he stepped inside the cafe he was greeted by his friends. "Good morning Chanhee!" Kevin said enthusiastically. He was wiping the tables and making sure everything was on its place. "Good morning! Where is Jacob Hyung?" Chanhee asked. "Inside. Making a coffee for himself. He had a rough night." Kevin says. If you didn't knew Kevin and Jacob were together as in dating and they lived together. They were a sweet and fun couple. "His parents?" Chanhee questions. Kevin nods with a sad smile. "Yeah. We had dinner together and you know how his parents want him to close this cafe and focus more on his further studies. The whole dinner ended up a mess after they brought that topic up." He says as he places the flower in the middle of the table.

Chanhee nods with a sympathetic look. Jacob's parents weren't bad per say. They were actually very great people. But they were not happy with Jacob opening a cafe and instead wanted Jacob to focus more on his studies. But the cafe itself was a dream for Jacob and the older had to go against his parents to keep the cafe. "I will go inside and help hyung." He says. After a nod from Kevin he goes at the back where all the drinks and foods were prepared. Jacob was inside leaning against the counter as he sipped on his coffee.

"Hey hyung how are you feeling? Kevin told me what happened last night." Chanhee says giving the older a comforting smile. Jacob sighs. "I am holding up well. I didn't slept well so yeah the only problem I have now is that I need more sleep." Jacob says. "What about you though? Still having the nightmares? You should maybe see a therapist you know. I worry about you Chanhee." Jacob questions with his brows furrowing in concern. Being the mother hen he always was. He knew about the nightmares Chanhee had been going through every night. It was very concerning.

"I am fine hyung. Just... Nothing works. You know the amount of therapists I have met up with." Chanhee says, his shoulders slumping down in defeat. The older pats his shoulder trying to comfort him. "Take care of yourself okay. If it gets worst promise me that you will go meet a therapist again." Jacob states. "I promise hyung." Chanhee says with a little smile. Truth to be told something in him was not sure if he wanted the nightmares to stop.

Just then before they could continue their talk they heard the bell chime. "Customers." Jacob says. Chanhee goes out to take the order. When he went out he saw two boys. One was sitting on the table with his back faced to Chanhee. The other one was standing in front of the counter desk as he told their orders to Kevin. "Two strawberry latte please." The guy said. "Anything else?" Kevin asked and the guys say no. Kevin nods and hands the order to Chanhee. He goes back inside to prepare the order.

After he was done with some help from Jacob he looks at his "art" proudly.

He put them on the tray and gods back out and hands it to Kevin who then takes them to where the two boys were sitting

He put them on the tray and gods back out and hands it to Kevin who then takes them to where the two boys were sitting. Chanhee doesn't really pay any attention on the two boys as he stands near the counter as he flipped through a new magazine which Kevin probably bought.

"I would like to pay now." A soft voice spoke up. Chanhee, a bit startled, looks up at the person standing in front of them. His eyes widened when he saw the person standing in front of him. "Y-you.." chanhee says feeling his throat constricting. The guy looks at him concerned. "Are you okay?" The guy asked with a frown.

Chanhee just looked at him with wide eyes feeling a form of panic rise. His face paled. How could this be? The man was the same man who he kept seeing in his dream. But how?! How could he be real. He holds his head, his fingers gripping on his hair as he felt a stabbing pain in his head causing tears to appear in his eyes.

"You are pretty."

"Will you agree to be my wife?"

"Our differences shouldn't be the reason I can't have you"

"I am sorry. Please ...."

"You and I, we are not meant to be."

Different voices appeared in his head and different visions flashed making him whimper. His heart felt heavy and pained without any reason or so he thought. "Stop. Stop it. Please stop." He whimpers as he flops down on the floor while still holding his head. His breathing getting heavy the more he became panicked. The gasps for air but it is as if someone was drowning him, pushing him under the deep water. The last thing Chanhee registered was the voice of a panicked Kevin and Jacob calling out to him before he fell unconscious.
