Chapter 2

Saudade

(n). A nostalgic longing to be near again to something of someone that is distant or that has been loved and then lost: "A love that remains."

Author's POV

Chanhee finds himself in a weird place. There was a large lake. Flowers bloomed around the place he stood. He looks around and sees two boy sitting on the edge of the lake with their legs into the water. Both dressed in traditional clothes. They seemed to be talking to each other just enjoying each other's presence. He freezes when he recognize one of the boy. It was the guy from his dreams. He was dressed in clothes which looked very expensive. "Am I dreaming again?" He think to himself. This was different though. He have never dreamed of this scene. He breathes out shakily as he slowly approaches the two figure. He couldn't see the face of the other boy yet. As he got closer to them he started hearing what they were talking about.

"When it is the right time I want to marry you?" Hyunjae, the boy who he always sees in his dream says. He had picked up the boy's name after his dreams became frequent. "What about your father? He is the king. Will he approve of me? I am nothing. I am just a commoner." The other boy says in a sad tone. Hyunjae's face falters at the other's words. "Even if he doesn't accept I am going to marry you. You are the only one in my heart. You are my prince." He says softly as he holds the other boy's hand. Chanhee freezes in his spot as his suspicion about the Hyunjae guy being a part of some royal family.

Chanhee feels the whole scene change and he is an opening surrounded by guards. His anxiety rises as he looks around frantically. He was invisible to the guards but it didn't help the anxiety he felt. He walks around a bit as he looks at the middle. There stood Hyunjae holding the other boy close to him. Yet again Chanhee couldn't see his face. Chanhee looks up and sees the king he assume standing along with guards besides him. "I am sorry! Please please let him go. Please I will do anything. Just let him go. He doesn't deserve this." The young prince cries out holding his lover. He looked desperate. Everything about the prince made Chanhee's heart ache. Chanhee looks around again and see the king send a sign to one of the guards. The guard aims an arrow at someone. Chanhee follow his line of vision. His breath hitch realising that this was the moment. The moment where the prince's lover gets killed.

"No!" He screamed out in panic as the guard fired the arrow hitting the lover. The young prince screams as his lover falls on the ground. Tears sliding down his face as he holds his lover. One last time mumbling how sorry he was. Chanhee falls on the ground as he gasps to breath. And then everything turned dark.

Chanhee wakes up with a start. His vision blurry "Oh my god! Are you okay?! Chanhee?! Do you hear me?" He heard Kevin's voice. He breathes in and out as his vision slowly cleared. "You okay? Should I call the doctor?" Kevin asked. He looks at his friend and around the room he was in. Undoubtedly he was in a hospital. "W-What happened?" He asked, his voice scratchy. Kevin sights as he hands Chanhee a glass of water. "I am not sure. You just fell to the ground. We thought you were just exhausted and fainted but you started having symptoms of seizure. Like... I don't know you weren't breathing properly. And your body just went so stiff. The guy from earlier in the cafe he helped us get you to the hospital." Kevin answers as he sits down on the tool that was placed beside the hospital bed.

Chanhee brings the glass up his lip and drank some water from it. Kevin takes it back from him when he was done and places it on the small bedside table. "Did you know him?" Kevin questions referring to the customer fron earlier. "I don't know. I would like to say I do but not in a... Normal way." Chanhee says making Kevin frown in confusion. "I am confused." Kevin states. Chanhee sighs. He haven't told Kevin about the dreams and all. He had only told Jacob about it.

"It is a long story." He said. Kevin scoffs. "Well we don't have anything to do in this hospital room until the doctor discharges you." He says. Chanhee chuckles at his friend. "Well then listen carefully." Chanhee says. He then started telling Kevin everything he had been going through. The other was surprised and shocked.

"Holy shit! All this happened and you didn't bother telling me?" Kevin asked in disbelief. Chanhee gives him an awkward smile. "I just... It was all too scary." He says fiddling with his fingers, looking down. Kevin sighs. "I can understand." He says patting Chanhee's shoulder.

They fall into a comfortable silence. "So the guy from the cafe... Earlier. It was the guy you see in your dream?" Kevin asked breaking the silence. Chanhee nods. Kevin then grabs a paper from inside his pocket handing it to Chanhee. "Here. Maybe you should try befriending him."

Chanhee looks at the paper for second and takes it. He unfolds it and see that it is the number. "He was worried about you. He said you should maybe text him when you are fine so that you won't be worried." Kevin informs. Chanhee's mouth opens in shock. "Should I really though?" He asks more to himself. "Well that is in your hands. I will go call a doctor and inform them that you are awake and all." Kevin says as he walks out giving Chanhee a comforting smile.

Chanhee looks down at the paper with the guy's name on it. He smile a little. "Maybe I should." He mumbles to himself.

Meanwhile~

"Do you think he is fine?" A man asked as he plays with his phone. "I am sure he will be Hyunjae. Why are you even so worried about him? I mean you don't know him." The other guy, his friend, asked. "I know Younghoon. It is just... His voice is very familiar." The guy, Hyunjae, says as he looks out of the car door sighing. He couldn't explain the way he was feelings. "I am sure he will be fine. And if you are so worried maybe you should go back to the cafe again tomorrow and see it yourself." Younghoon suggest. Hyunjae hums. He thinks back to the guy from the cafe and couldn't help but think of how cute the guy was. 'Choi Chanhee.' He thinks to himself as he remembers the name of the guy. 'Maybe I should really go see him again.'
