Chapter 16

"I don't want to turn the next page. If I do you won't be there anymore."

Author's POV

It was 5 in the evening and Hyunjae was on his way back home. He had a small bouquet of adorable flowers. He was excited to return home to the younger. He parked the car at its usual parking space and got inside the house. "I am home." He called out. "Welcome back." Chanhee greets him with a little smile. Hyunjae pulls him into a hug. "I missed you so much." He says as he pulls away. "I miss you too. Is this mine?" Chanhee asked referring to the flowers. "I don't see myself having another boyfriend." Hyunjae said with a teasing smile.

Chanhee smacks his arms as he takes the flowers. "They are beautiful. Thank you." He says sniffing the flowers. "Where are my welcome kisses then?" Hyunjae asks with a pout. Chanhee chuckles as gets closer to him and kisses the older. Pecking his lips softly. "Go freshen up." Chanhee says as he pushes the older lightly towards his room.

With a wink Hyunjae goes away. After the older was out of the sight Chanhee sighs. His smile turning to a frown. "How am I going to tell you?...." He trails off. With a shake of his head he heads towards the living room so that he can read a book and maybe take his mind off from what Hyunjae's father had said.

After a while Hyunjae comes out sitting down beside him. "Pay some attention to me." He says in a whiny tone as he lays his head down on Chanhee's lap. The younger closes his book and puts down on the coffee table. He runs his fingers through the older's hair. "So how was work?" He asks. "Boring as always. Met some stupid men." Hyunjae grumbles as thought back to his father's business partners he met earlier.

"We need to talk hyung." Chanhee says internally wanting to cry. He had been so disturbed since Hyunjae's father left him after saying those words. He really didn't wanted to talk about it and riun the older's night but they needed to. "About what? You sound serious. Should I be scared?" Hyunjae asked as he sits up properly turning towards Chanhee.

The younger bits his lips hesitating. 'Oh fuck this' he thought to himself. "Your dad came earlier." He said. Hyunjae's face immediately turned into a frown. "Why?" He asked. "He said some things." Chanhee says. Hyunjae signals him to continue. "Your dad has met me before too... At university. This was not the first time." Chanhee reveals. Hyunjae's frowns deepens at that. "Did he say something to you?" He asked knowing how his father could be.

Chanhee nods his head. "The first time we met.. in my university. He.. well he asked me what I wanted from you. It felt like he thought of me as some gold digger or something." Chanhee says fiddling with his fingers. "He told me to break up with you. Tried to bribe me but I said 'no' to it." He added. Hyunjae groans at that pushing his hair back in frustration. Of course his father would do something like this.

"He came today too. Here. And he still wanted me to leave. I would have... would have said no but he said some things and..." Chanhee trails off feelings tears at this point. God he didn't wanted to lose the older at any point of life. Not now. Not in future. Not when he was finding true happiness. "What did he say?" Hyunjae asked holding Chanhee's hands in a comforting manner urging the younger to continue. "He wants me to leave you and if I don't you will lose everything hyung. Your position in the company. H-He said he would disown you." He says as a sob escapes him.

Hyunjae froze at that. He knew his father played dirty. He knew but he never thought he would fall this... low. He pulls Chanhee closer feeling the younger sob. "Hey hey hey shhhhh don't cry. You know I don't like you crying." He says in a soft tone patting the youngers back. "I don't wa-want to leave you hyungie." Chanhee hiccups. Hyunjae hugs him tighter assuring the younger that he doesn't have to.

After some time Chanhee had finally stopped sobbing. Hyunjae pulls away. "You know I will never let you leave right. You are meant for me baby and I am not losing you. Not like I did in my dreams or in any way." He says. Chanhee sniffs. "I love you Hyungie." He says. Hyunjae gives him a small smile and pecks his forehead. He then stands up.

"I will go at dad's." He stated. Chanhee panics. "Why? No hyungie. He will take everything from you. I-I don't want to be the reason you lose everything you have now. I would ha-hate myself!" Chanhee stutters out. Hyunjae sighs as he cups his face. "Listen baby. You are my everything. Even since I was a child my father was never easy with me. He dictated my whole life. And I was never happy with it yet I went along to his wishes as much as I could. But now that I have you as my happiness I am not letting him ruin this for me. I am willing to lose everything if it means I can have you." He says.

Chanhee feel so much warmth as his words. "But still.... Don't fight with your dad. No matter what at the end of the day he is your father and I don't want you and your dad to have a fall out or something because of me." He says. "I can't promise love but I will try." Hyunjae says with a comforting smile. Chanhee hugs him. "I love you hyung. So much." He says sighing out feeling relieved. "I love you too. Take some rest. For now I will go visit dad. We need to talk." Hyunjae says. Chanhee hesitantly nods.

Hyunjae goes up to his room and gets dressed. After he was done he shoved his phone and wallet inside the pocket of his pants and grabs his car key. He goes back down and sees Chanhee looking at his book blankly. He approaches the younger. "Baby I will get back soon okay. I love you. Don't worry your pretty head too much okay?" He says. "I will try not too. And I love you too." Chanhee says.

Hyunjae chuckles as he leans down and kisses him. Not rough but slow and passionate. He pulls awat with a smile. "You better come back fast. Or I am really going to worry a lot." Chanhee says. "Of course cutie." Hyunjae says cheekily. After a last peck he goes out of the house and to his car. He drives out and towards his father's mansion. All the whole time only one thing was in his mind. He was going to end this. Today. He will no longer let his father control him and his life as if he was a puppet.

Hi guys! I am sorry for not updating any of my stories that much. And I probably won't until Thrill Ride promotion ends. As I handle a fanbase it is hard to handle wattpad as there is a promotion going on especially combined with my studies.
