It had been only a couple of minutes since I came out from my room and found Hu Tao leaning against the railing outside the Pharmacy. From what Qiqi said, she came here to talk to me rather than Qiqi.

Is this a setup for another one of her pranks now that we're all squared away again after her initial prank?... What's her game?

Hu Tao: "Now, how about we get to know each other properly eh?...f-f-For the sake of our associated businesses of course!!"

Y/N: "... Sure? What do you want to know?"

Hu Tao: "Hmmm... everything! Tell me everything!"

Y/N: "E-Everything?!"

Hu Tao: "Well, you've got less than a week's worth of stories to tell don'tcha? Hehe!"

Y/N: "Well... I uh- I suppose that's true... but there's not really much to tell. You already overheard my origins when you were spying on me and Xiangling-"

Hu Tao: "Aiya! I wasn't spying on the two of you! I just happened to be passing by... and couldn't help but listen in on your story is all!"

Y/N: "Well, other than that small scare of an awakening... all I've really done is work for Dr. Baizhu and accompanied Qiqi on her herb runs."

Hu Tao: "Hmm, and what do you think of Mr Baizhu?"

Y/N: "Huh?...Well... I suppose he seems to be very intelligent, and he's a good conversationalist- so far, from what I've seen he always gets the upper hand in any bespoke deal he has to make...but..."

Hu Tao: "Buuuuuut?"

Y/N: "... It always seems like he's plotting something, like he has an ulterior motive to his charity, you know what I mean?"

Hu Tao: "Huh, it seems that you actually are rather observant after all!"

Y/N: "W-Wait! So he is planning something then?"

Hu Tao: "... It's nothing too nefarious, however if I told you then you might jeopardize your opportunity here."

Y/N: "My... opportunity?"

Hu Tao: "Indeed! You're the one who can keep the closest eye on him and that snake of his after all! You already were wary of his ulterior motives, so just keep doing that and you'll do fine!"

Y/N: "I...uh- okay?..."

. . .

Hu Tao: "Enough! Enough of this melancholy topic, jump over this to the other side of this railing with me. Then we can sit and chat, it's been quite the long day for me! And I'm sure after all those deliveries your feet must be feeling quite... dead! Hehe!"
