Hu Tao: "Hehe! I did! But I gotta go, I hope I'll see you soon Y/N! This was a really fun date by the way! Ta Ta for now!"

Y/N: "b-b-bye?"

* END OF FLASHBACK *

Hee-hee, I can't help but keep thinking back to that day out we spent together, it was so fun!

Normally I find my entertainment on my own, like how I adore clambering around Liyue's peaks looking for the best views, coming up with verses of poetry, and even just sitting down and playing a card game made for four - I can find entertainment in all of these for hours without needing another soul with me at all... but with Y/N, everything just seems so much more fun, even if we don't do anything at all!

I also really appreciate how interested they are in all the things I do... that could just be because of their memory problems, but it really does sound like they're genuinely interested in both my work and my hobbies... and I really appreciate that a lot!

It's been a couple of days since we hung out like that, unfortunately we've had a whole bunch of business back here at the Funeral Parlour that I had to attend to... I wonder if they're thinking about me like I am them...?

Aiya! Don't be silly! Of course they're not, they have far too much to be thinking about to spare on little old Hu Tao! But still, I can't help but wonder...-

Zhongli: "...Director?"

Hu Tao: "o-Oh! Hmm? What's up Zhongli?"

Zhongli: "Well I was attempting to consult with you regarding the burial tonight but you seemed to be quite deep in your thoughts."

Hu Tao: "Oh, I was...? N-Never mind that! We can discuss the burial now, if you have the time?"

Zhongli: "I have but a few moments to spare still I suppose, but are you sure that you yourself are up for it?"

Hu Tao: "Huh, what do you mean by that?"

Zhongli: "Well... the staff here have all noticed that these past days you have been rather more tepid than we normally see you, not to say that your work has been at all perfunctory, but rather more... listless. Have you perchance been feeling under the weather recently?"

Hu Tao: "No? I'm feeling fine... but I uh- I suppose I have had my head in the clouds a little more than usual!"

Zhongli: "Oh? Would this perhaps be due to that conundrum of that newcomer to Liyue? The one who gifted you those Eagle-Feathered Quill Pens?"
