Hu Tao: "Huuuu... so soon?! I guess this is our ride back to the Harbor... sigh"

Y/N: "Well... we can certainly do this again sometime, right? j-Just uh-... maybe next time it could be on a beach that we don't have to cross the ocean to get to?"

Hu Tao: "Tee-hee! I'm fine with that! As long as I'm with you, I don't mind what we do after all!"

???: "We received your message Director, if you and your companion are ready to depart back for the Harbor, then so be it."

Hu Tao: "Zhongli? Huh, I wasn't expecting you to be the one picking us up!"

Zhongli: "Well, as it happens, the Funeral Parlour received a letter carried by the wind that said that our esteemed director had ended up marooned on an island with her companion. Although... the tides are still low are they not? Could you not just make the trip across the sandbar?"

Hu Tao: "There were... complications that made that not possible for our current party, I'm afraid."

Y/N: "s-sorry..."

Hu Tao: "Don't worry about it sweetie! But once we're onboard, maybe we could talk about it?"

Y/N: "..."

Zhongli: "Regardless, the hours in the day are waning. Are you two ready to board...?"

Hu Tao: "Sure am! Let's go Y/N!"

*HU TAO'S POV*

Both me and my sweetie Y/N had boarded on to Zhongli's vessel... where did he even get this thing anyways? I wasn't aware that the Funeral Parlour had seafaring vessels on demand? Usually we had to request a ferry to any sea-bound corpses we had to collect, and I had never seen a ship quite like this one before either...

Y/N was currently resting their head on my shoulder, from the sound of their breathing and their rhythmic movement, it would seem that they had fallen asleep... I love that they're able to feel so relaxed around me, it's really endearing... and it seemed like they definitely needed to relax after what happened to them today.

Currently me and Zhongli were talking, perhaps with his worldly temperament he could provide some guidance as to what we can do about what happened out on that sandbar...

Zhongli: "So you say that Y/N became unresponsive? And that they were muttering to themself as if you were not even there?"

Hu Tao: "Right! And when I asked them to give me their hand to help guide them back to land, Y/N was able to extend their hand to me... but not very far, and they kept muttering to themselves. b-but the look in their eyes... I've seen it before. My sweetie truly thought they were going to drown, even though the water only reached halfway up our bodies."
