A couple weeks had passed now, since the Irodori Festival that Hu Tao, Qiqi, and myself had gone to enjoy. Of course, Qiqi and I's invitations were sourced to us by Ningguang herself, so as to give me some breathing room from the monotony of my self-imposed prison, whereas Hu Tao had gotten her invitation granted under the pretence that she would be engaging in several business meetings at the same time.

So, when we returned to Liyue, my girlfriend ended up being quite tied up with other engagements, preparing to establish official links between her business: the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour, and that of the businesses in Inazuma who she had secured deals with. And as such, I barely got to see her for more than an hour or so a day, when she'd finally come back to our room to retire, absolutely exhausted and in need of pampering.

So for a while after our return to Liyue, my only interactions with Hu Tao were late in the evening, as we were both tired and ready for bed. But Hu Tao, being the far more exhausted of the two of us, was the one I prioritised caring for. Giving her as much attention as I could, to help her relax and unwind after such tough days:

From the extensive full-body massages I gave her, to my lap pillows that she napped on. I made sure to do my absolute best to pamper my hard-working partner when she was at her most exhausted. It's not like there's much else for me to do, seeing as I'm still having to lay low in Liyue to avoid upsetting some of the more... aggressive citizens that have a distaste for my past life.

However, today was to be quite different, it would seem...

*knock knock*

Y/N: "Huh? Someone's at the door...? Y–Yeah! You can come in!"

???: "Ah, I was hoping that I would find you here."

Y/N: "Hmm? Oh, consultant Zhongli

Y/N: "Hmm? Oh, consultant Zhongli. Can I help you with something? Has Director Hu asked for me to fetch her something maybe?"

Zhongli: "Good morning Y/N, I'm... afraid that I've not had the fortune of having any contact with Director Hu at all today. Rather, I have come to you, to ask if you would perchance be available for an outing?"

Y/N: "An outing...?"

Zhongli: "Indeed. As I understand it, you are under a self–imposed house arrest, are you not? That sounds like it would be quite the unvaried lifestyle."

Y/N: "I suppose it is kinda boring... but it's a small cost in comparison to what the Y/N of the past did. I can understand the people of Liyue being distrustful of me, even though..." *sigh*

Zhongli: "So that's how you see this situation...? I see. I suppose this is quite the outlandish scenario."

Y/N: "I guess it is... But, what was that you mentioned about an outing?"
