After dinner, everyone sat at the table, acting like we just finished a Thanksgiving feast. Everyone's bellies were stuffed full, we couldn't move, all we could do was grab our stomachs and exhale. Also, I'm pretty sure that Grandpa unbuttoned his pants, so he could breathe a little better.
When I heard Momma Jones' voice, I was afraid she was going to ask, 'who wants dessert?' I can't eat any more food.
"So, what do you kids have going on tonight? I know you don't wanna sit around with us old folks and watch a movie." Momma Jones asked, addressing all of us young people.
"Well, since it's Rome's homecoming, we should go out, and get a drink or something?" Jax said with pleading eyes that had a secret behind them.
"I don't believe you. There's something about tonight that you're not telling me." I said, finally catching onto Jax's motives.
"Ok, fine. CeCe just finished filming her new movie, and is having an after wrap party. She told me to invite people." Jax said caving.
"I'm sure, I'm not what she had in mind when she said that to you." I said honestly.
"She said family, and that's what you are to me." Jax said with pleading without a secret hidden behind his eyes this time.
