-“You know you’ve changed so much, Charlie” Jordan says smiling.
It’s great to see Jordan again but I can’t help feeling that it’s bringing back awkward memories. Yes we all used to play together when we were younger but I definitely had a thing for Jordan. Jenna knew this, obviously, but I never forgot him when he moved away.
-“Why thank you!” I say.
-“Sooo, where are you going tonight?” Jordan asks.
-“We’re going out to Liquid club up in town, we go every Friday” I say. I realise I am waffling, so I shut up quickly. I pass Jordan his mug of tea and he sits up on the kitchen surface opposite me.
-“You know, things have really changed since we left” Jordan says.
-“Nah, just got worse” I say, sitting on the opposite kitchen surface. Jordan laughs.
-“Well you’ll be out of school soon, won’t you? How old are you again, 14?” Jordan jokes, smiling cheekily.
-“Hey?! I’m 16!” I say punching him lightly on the shoulder.
- “Owww” Jordan says, pulling a mock puppy face.
-“We missed this place, we wrote most of our songs here, it’s where it all began” Jordan says.
-“Whereas I can’t wait to get out, don’t think I’ll miss this place at all” I say.
-“Trust me, you will” Jordan says, putting his mug down.
-“Well that’s one thing I learnt, never trust you!” I say smiling.
-“Right that’s it!” Jordan says.
Jordan pulls me off the kitchen surface and picks me up round the waist.
- “Hey, put me down!” I squeal. He throws me down on the sofa next to Jenna. I check my phone.
-“Jenna, its 7:45” I say.
-“Oh my god, we need to go, sorry guys, talk tomorrow?” Jenna says as we rush out the house to catch our bus. “Bye!” the boys shout.
