"Hey, sorry about the wait." Lani apologized to her legendary friend.
"Don't worry about it, I thought you died or something." Drista spoke sarcastically, and started walking back to her place with her average friend.
"Good thing I'll never die." Lani stated confidently, as if she were some immortal being.
"Never? I'm pretty sure we all die Lani."
-
"I'm from up north, I don't get cold." Lani bragged.
"Oh right...I forgot you came from up there. What was your town's name? I forgot."
"Snow chester, It was a beautiful place. I wish I could go back, I miss it." Lani smiled as she remembered the place where she was born.
"I bet...does that mean you've seen an ice dragon?" Drista had heard of them, but didn't know much about them.
"No, dragon attacks don't really happen up there...no one really talks about them either." Lani shrugged and played with the friendship bracelet on her wrist.
-
Drista snickered. "Just have your parents adopt me."
"You want to be a tubbling? It's not as fun as it looks." Lani giggled.
"A fucking what? Nevermind, I don't want to be a tubbling. You'll have to be adopted by my family instead." Drista tried to think of a weird word to match 'tubbling'.
"Oh...will I be a drister then?" Lani came up with the word for her.
Drista nodded "yes! Exactly. Now stop making up words."
-
"Can I see one of your arms?"
"Uh...why?" Lani was puzzled by the random question.
"Just..." Drista tried to be sneaky. "I want to see your bracelet, I think it's nicer than mine."
"They are practically the same-"
Drista grabbed her arm and moved the fabric out of the way completely. She turned Lani's arm over and looked at her wrist. The veins going down her arm had turned visibly purple. Not a natural purple hue, a deep purple. "Lani-"
-
Once at Techno's house, he let Lani sit on his couch. He disappeared into the kitchen to do something unknown.
Lani sniffled and sat anxiously on the luxury couch. She admired it's gold detail. "It's a pretty couch..."
"Lani you're poisoned, how are you able to focus on the couch?"
"I don't know...it's not that scary..."
"Your veins are purple!"
"Well, purple is my favorite color." She smiled forcefully.
-
Drista turned to Lani, who was still sleeping soundly. "Techno...she doesn't want to die. Stop talking about her death!"
"Not many of us do, that's just life."
"Please...there has to be something?"
Technoblade sighed and stopped Lani's bleeding with a towel. "You want a cure? It won't be easy."
"Anything! I'll do anything." Drista encouraged Techno to tell her more.
"You go up north and get the blood of an ice dragon, then she might have a chance."
