Drista travelled for two days before reaching Snow Chester. It wasn't her final destination, but it was a good checkpoint. She had been sleeping outside like an animal, and was more than ready for a nice inn.
Luckily it didn't take much searching. There was an inn located in the center of town.
She tied up her horse outside, and read the sign. "Ice and Fire Inn...I could use a fire right about now, I'm freezing!" Drista left her sword and shield outside. She was exhausted from carrying them, and felt like her arms would fall off. If Techno was there he would of definitely said, "Pain builds character."
She walked inside, setting off a little bell. The man behind the front desk looked up right away. They probably didn't get many customers up here.
"Hello, welcome!" The man smiled softly. He was wearing an all black outfit. Even though he was inside, he had on a long black coat. It ended at his knees, and looked to be lined with thick fur. Light brown fur was also around his hood, which was over his head.
Drista walked to the desk tiredly. "Do you have a room available?" She felt like once she got in a bed, she wouldn't want to leave.
"Yeah, of course!" He noticed how absolutely overworked and tired she was. "Are you alright?"
"Mhm...room please."
The man got a key, and hesitated. "You look really young, how old are you?"
"A minor, give me the key." Drista didn't feel the need to confirm her age.
"What are you doing up here by yourself?"
"Can you mind your business?!" Drista snapped at him. She was far too cold and sleepy for this.
He handed her the key, and adjusted his glasses. "Can you...pay for it?" He was questioning if this girl was a runaway. Technically, that wouldn't be a wrong assumption. She basically did run away.
"Do you accept trades?"
"Yeah, I can do that. What do you have?" The man seemed very cooperative and open-minded.
Drista looked down at the ring on her finger. Techno had given it to her after she killed her first dragon. It was supposed to be a token of luck. It was the only thing she could trade now. She slipped the ring off, and offered it to the man.
The man inspected the ring. "Looks shiny...where'd you get this?"
"Oh my Lord, what the fuck is with you? Mind your own business!"
"Hey! Language, that's very inappropriate. Especially for a kid." He frowned, and put the ring in his pocket. "So, how long are you staying?"
"Just one night, I have places to be."
"Yeah? Where are you headed?" He hadn't learned his lesson yet.
"Oh my- You wanna know? I'm going to the Ryoko village." She rubbed her eyes, trying to keep herself from passing out right there.
"Oh...what would you be doing up there? Not many live up there now to my knowledge."
Drista rolled her eyes. "Where's the room?" She was done talking, she needed to lay down.
The man pointed down a hall. "First door down that hall. If you need anything, don't he afraid to ask. You can call me Bad-"
Drista walked down the hall before he could finish. She unlocked her room and stepped in, shutting the door. The room was small, but very cozy. Whoever decorated it, laced it with care and hospitality. The room had a slight wood smell to it, like she was standing in a forest. Of course that made sense, the building was made mostly of wood.
