Ni No Kuni is a JRPG. It is a third person game. You control Oliver, the protagonist in the game, but when it comes to battle, you can choose one of the other members of the party, but that's when you unlock them. You also have these creature called familiars... and before you think of button smashing through the game or anything, it's not going to work. Familiars work like Pokémon (kind of), but they have the same HP and MP (Health Points and Magic Points) as the user you're controlling as. If they die, you die. You can only have 3 familiars for each member of your party.

There are two options. Easy and Normal. Before you say 'where the hell is hard?', the game gets harder as you progress and it's hard enough. Easy is for people who want to enjoy the story and don't have to do as much grinding as they have to in normal mode. Normal mode, of course is experience the battling to its fullest, but you may need to grind. The controls... are kind of hard to get used, especially because you're gonna have a lot of breaks and forget the controls. I recommend getting it on PC or PS4 because the Nintendo switch is a little buggy (I have the switch version because I don't have steam or PS4) but funny at times-

(Okay... I'm gonna stop before it turns into 1000 words)
