Kenji snapped out to reality hearing the ugly sinister laugh from the stranger. She started at the lad. dumbfounded. Mind slowly recollecting some of her lost memory of her childhood.

Her eyes roamed around his face. Finding a long scar from his forehead down to the cheekbone. The man's features remind her of the man who kidnapped her. As far as she now remembered, he looked young back then. Maybe he was in his mid-thirties or what. However, she hasn't recovered from the first headache and another scene starts to flash before her eyes again.

"Ughh," she groaned, wincing as the throbbing pain on her head starts to emit again.

"W-hat the fuck do you want from me?" She gasps, seeing whites and constant flashes. She closed her eyes and held her head. Not noticing the man kneeling in front of her.

"You mean, what my boss want?" He coos, talking to her like she's some 5-year-old child.

He chuckled, "You know, there's something inside you that is really...

"really important to have..." He trails off. Standing up from kneeling. He started to walk around her.

"A-and what the fuck i-is that something inside me yo-u fuc-ker?" The man smiles in amusement at the girl, still managing to curse at him. Oh boy, she needs some punishment.

Going behind her, he harshly kicks her back erupting a sound of a breaking bone mixed with a painful scream.

Ruby cries in agony. She balled her hands into fists, nails digging her flesh as she couldn't reach behind her to touch the spot where the man kicked her.

She screamed some profanities inside her head. Making a plan on how to take revenge and kill him. Somehow, she knows that it's impossible.

So I'm going to die here, huh?

"About the thing inside of you?" The man interrupts her thoughts. He went back in front of her and crouched.

"Hmmm... Should I tell you?" He teased, earning a glare from the girl.

Ruby rolled her eyes, "I don't fucking care if you're gonna tell me or not because I won't waste my time on a fuck-AHH!" She yelped in pain. Cheek stinging from the man's harsh slap.

She swore under her breath that once she regained herself, she wouldn't have mercy on him. Just you wait.

"I suggest you keep your mouth shut or your death won't be exciting," he snickered, tapping the gun on the side of her head.

"So," he abruptly stood up. "About the thing inside you— oh should I tell you a story?"

"What story—"

*BANG!*

A loud piercing sound strikes inside her ears. It was loud enough to make her eardrum blast and bleed.

"Last warning," the man threatened, watching the girl attempt to roll on the floor.

The man huffed, "it's about three teenage boys who had big dreams,"

"Two of them was the heir of a clan,"

"The other one was the ordinary teen who dreamed of being a scientist,"

"The wannabe scientist dreamt about inventing a robotic heart which will profit the rich families who have a member with a failing heart. But then, all of these ideas and purposes went gone the moment he realized that his robotic creation is worth more than a trillion golds."

"The inventor didn't tell his friends about it for two reasons,"

"Even though they've been friends for years, they were greedy enough and would probably kill him just to have that stupid thing. Especially, that bastard Park Jaewon. " The man sighs and walks towards the window where the moon was clearly seen in the midnight sky.

" He did his best to hid the information from them but knowing how unlucky he is, they found out. He didn't know how it got leaked." His grip on the gun tightens, thand shaking.

Ruby was about to question why he's saying these things to her but knowing that he will shoot her without a thought, she kept her mouth shut.

"W-why are you saying these to me?" She bit her lips, screaming internally from being doomed.

"Good question!" He exclaimed. Turning around with a weird smile on his face. He walks towards the redhead and crouched his knee in front of her. He reached his hand to her shoulder and push it back, making her lay on her back. He then jabs his finger on her chest where the heart is located.

"Because the stupid invention is planted to your heart!" He stood up and kicks her stomach over and over.

Ruby curled up into a ball and blocked her stomach. Hands clutching her waist. She was got laid on her back again with a gun pointing between her eyes.

"Now that I got you all to myself, I can finally take what he owns and send your body to the—" he was cut off when a dagger was suddenly lashes almost on his face. The man stumbled away from the redhead and frantically looks out to the door.

There stood a raging Kai looking deadly in their eyes.

"You are a little late, Kai. Or should I say an assassin of Kenji's Clan?" He smirked. Seeing the reaction on the girl's face. Kai on the other hand grips his gun tightly and lashes out.

The man swiftly dodged all of his attacks. "Ahh, how can an assassin fail to lay a pinky finger on me? I thought you're their ace?" He smiled mockingly at him.

Kai didn't utter a word. He crouched down the floor to knocked his legs off but the man quickly jumps and kicks his leg on his face. Ruby watched in shock, seeing blood run down his neck, Kai's nose is bleeding. She wanted to help but couldn't get on her own feet. Her body was badly aching from the strong kicks the man gave her.

Kai secretly pulled his blade out of his pocket. Eyes focused on his opponent running towards him. He readied himself and wait for the perfect time. When the man was nearing, he sprints and slashes his blade on the other's skin.

"Now I got you another scar on the other side, you look good with it," Kai says which made the man irk.

"I'll make sure to kill you before her," he gritted his teeth. Cupping his wound in agony. The two fought again as the redhead stares at them with her face hints of confusion about what she just heard.

Kenji Clan? Kai is an assassin?

She suddenly recollects the weird things that have been occurred in her life the day she met new people and got friends with the taller. The sudden phone call, the mysterious chap in the arcade, the constant feeling of being watched, Raven and the other's sudden change appearance. And the robot invention the man just told her and his finger he jabbed on her chest.

What does it have to do with me?

Mysterious people have been following me and the attempts of killing me. There's no way I got the stupid heart he was talking about right? Haha, they've got the wrong person, and Kai—

She felt her body floating and snapped out of her thoughts. She realizes Kai was holding her up, starting at her emotionless.

She instantly felt small and unknowingly shrunk her shoulders.

But the moment she looked behind him and saw the lifeless man pooling with his own blood. A chill went down her spine. She doesn't know what to feel. And Kai really owes her an explanation.

I'm upset and got writer's block besties. I'm thinking of doubling my update but I couldn't think normally :(
