Kai ignored the burning stares from the girl he's carrying. Now that she heard what she wasn't supposed to hear, he would have trouble with how he could not answer her questions.

Should I knock her off? He internally shook his head.

"Mukha kang natatae," he heard the redhead says, making his gaze turn to the girl.

"What?" He asked, eyebrows knitting in confusion. Ruby scoffed at him. "Oh, I didn't know you could talk," she said resulting in the boy rolling his eyes.

Did she just talk in a different language? How come I didn't know that?

"Hey, I have so many questions and you're definitely gonna answer—"

"Say more words I'm gonna drop and leave you here. I don't care if another assassin comes to kill you." He interrupted.

"Why are you always interrupting me?!" She yelled, crossing her arms across her chest. She yelped when the other attempted to drop her. She smacked the back of his neck in reflex and keep her mouth shut.

The whole drive back to the mansion was awfully quiet with Ruby taking side glances at the irritated driver. Eventually, they finally got home and Ruby was hoisted up again on their way inside. Knowing that the disguised assassin is mad Ruby puffs her left cheek as she eyes him clenching his jaw.

Damn, am I such a troublesome?

"You are," she gasped hearing Kai answered her thought. The lad opens the bedroom door and kicked it close making a loud bang. He carefully dropped her in the bed and pace to the bathroom to get the first aid.

He then quickly went out, dragging a chair on his way in front of the girl. He sat down and emotionlessly gaze at her.

"Show me," he commands. Ruby completely knows what the other means and doesn't have to be told twice. She lifts her clothing to reveal the dark bruises on her side and stomach.

Kai clicks his tongue, opening the ointment. He began to treat her but the moment his fingertip touches her skin the girl in cue flinches away.

He frowned and muttered "sorry," before he lightly damps his finger on her stomach. Ruby's cheeks flush red from the contact. Even though this is not the first time he treated her, she still felt the tingly sensation and slight uneasiness whenever his skin touches her own.

She quickly grabs his hand, stopping him. "You can go outside, I can manage myself," she protests. Kai just stared at her, not quite believing her words. Nevertheless, he stood up and places the ointment in her lap before leaving. At least she knows that she is not a baby anymore.

"Hey, you're still answering my questions tomorrow!" He heard her muffled yell. He just shook his head and proceeded to walk downstairs. Remembering what he and the other members talked about. He saunters the certain path on his way deep inside their mansion. He finally halts his steps in front of the black steel barrier that only they know about this.

He pushes the obstacle in difficulty. He instantly saw the lights on and the others are already surrounding the badly beaten up man who is tied up in the chair.

"Am I late?" He asks while he walks towards them. Beomgyu pushes his round frame up before answering.

"Almost," Raven suddenly glance in his direction and back to their hostage. The chestnut couldn't help but blush and that didn't go unnoticed by the almost late lad. Kai secretly snickers. He already knows the other's feelings towards the oblivious blonde but he decided not to interfere.

"Are you gonna answer our questions or not?" His attention diverted to the brunette who's holding a metal baseball bat. The hostage firmly nodded his head no, refusing to speak the answers.
