I shook my head and curled up my fingers, turning it into a fist. My phone vibrates making me jump on my spot. I picked up my phone on top of the counter and slowly look at the screen, too scared to see the unknown number again. But my mind changed, deciding to look at the man first if he's holding a phone in his ear before looking at the caller's ID. And when I did, I grabbed my phone, turning it off, putting it inside my ripped jeans' pocket before turning around. I can't handle seeing the man who I started to feared on. I saw the man holding the phone right up to his ear.

Ruby...

Ruby...

Is this really your first time being afraid by THAT man?

What are you talking about? I haven't seen that man and I don't know him so ...stop...

I crouched down and held my head. I slap my face, trying to get the voices out of my head.

"Ruby,"

"Fucking shut up!"

"Oh, sorry for annoying you. " The voices disappeared when I heard a voice behind me. I immediately turned my head and looked up to see Axel staring down at me. He frowned in confusion when he saw the look on my face so I stood up and completely facing him.

"Are you alright?" He asked with a concerned look plastered on his face. I closed my eyes and nodded. I look behind him and caught Kai looking at me with the same frown on my face. What's with that fricking look again? Does he know anything other than plastering a frown on his face?

"Hello~ Ruby, are you listening?" Axel waved his hand in his one of the face. I got annoyed and held his hand bringing it down.

"Sorry, what was it again?" I asked. I looked up at him as I felt my face heating up from the embarrassment of getting annoyed by him. I didn't look away and did my best to look scary. But he noticed my blush so he smiled. And his smile turns into a laugh. I glared harshly at him to make him stop but it didn't work. Instead of shutting up and disappearing from my sight, he just continued to chuckle and brought up his hands to my face. Squishing my cheeks.

I froze on my feet. My mind still processing what is happening right now. Eventually, I came back to my senses after he squished my cheeks hard.

"So cutee~" he cooed. I yelped, slapping his hands away from my reddened, aching cheeks. He got the guts to squish my cheeks. And fuck, it hurts.

"Why are you still standing there? Your shift has already ended 10 minutes ago" he said making my eyes almost popped out of my eye sockets.

"I turned my phone off. I could've left 5 minutes ago if you didn't squish my cheeks." I reasoned. Before he could talk, I turn around and run to the staff room to take my uniform off. I heard Kai and Axel exchanging conversations outside. It's muffled but I chose not to eavesdrop. It's not my business anyway. The bell, hanging on the door, dangles as soon as I walked out of the stock room. I didn't see Kai around the store when I walked out. Maybe he went out already. I walked towards the entrance and before I could walk out, Axel bid goodbye to me. I just nodded and went out outside.

I look at the time and it's already 11 pm. A message abruptly pops on the notification. the middle-aged man from earlier. I tapped the notification on the screen and read his message.

From: Mr. Bobin

*Are you still going to the house right now? It's already dark. You should move in tomorrow*

*Okay Mr. Bobin, I'll call you when-----*

I stopped texting when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw the gang from earlier. The girl in front of them had her arms crossed against her chest as they all stood not far away from me with the-weapons in their hands?.

I just stood there, unarmed and unbothered from it. The girl in front of them I assume is the leader, smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at them. Weapons won't make me terrified.

"I knew it's you who works on that store," she said. Her smirked is still plastered on her face. It kinda annoys me.

"And?" I said. Making her dropped her annoying smirk. I put my phone back in my pocket and crossed my arms. One eyebrow raised.

" Do you think that y'all can beat that stupid weapon of yours? I mocked. Her face starts to get red from anger.

"Did I make you mad?" I teased.

"GET HER!" she screamed and stomps her foot like a brat. Tss, short-tempered. Her minions start to step towards me. I stepped back as I guess which one of them will attack me first- or what if they attack me together? whatever.

They ran towards me and one of them swing their-I don't know what is it called but whatever. Some of them swing their weird weapon at me but I dodged it. I was stunned when that thing follows by a baseball bat with blades surrounded on it. It was too late to back away so I lift my right arm, covering my face. The blade bored deeply into my skin. I hissed in pain and softly clutches my bleeding arm, not wanting to add pressure on it. I quickly step away from them and threw a harsh glare. Those fuckin----

"Ugh! I knock over on a hard concrete floor right after some asshole swung a hardwood on my back. I laid on my back and faced the asshole who is about to swing the wood to my face. I immediately kicked the fucking daylights out between his legs, making him dropped the wood and held his- you know what I'm talking about.

I immediately stood up from the floor, ignoring my aching bleeding arm as I gave him a roundhouse kick, knocking him off to Dreamland. 1 down and 9 more pests to kill. I groaned in frustration as I thought about coming home super duper fucking late in Zack's house.

Another fight, another bruise... UGH!!!
