When she'd walked in, nobody had really noticed her except for the few here and there who only glanced over in mild curiosity.

Charlotte had managed to mask herself back behind the walls of fake confidence for just enough time to hit her head into her claimed desk and take a breath.

Maybe more people had stared but she wasn't exactly looking at the group of people, searching for someone to give her the eye, the next budge to breakdown number two.

Finding herself seated, she dug her stuff from her grey backpack. The iMac Air that constantly broke down, the phone she had half hazardly thrown into the mix, an empty note book, and some pens.

She felt ill prepared as she set it out neatly. As if she didn't have all that her mom had suggested.

God, she hoped no one paid her any attention as she'd stood awkwardly looking in the mix of people for an open seat. One had been free near the middle, but she couldn't do dead centre because she got kinds nervous in the middle of big crowds. But heck, what's it matter when she was just gonna panic anyways? Ha.

There had been a couple seats open off to the far side where Reddish Head and Blondie sat, but she was definitely not wanting to deal with their questioning stares or attempt at comfort or whatever. It was also close to where Mr.Downey's desk was, although not very, she didn't want to be a distraction to him, wondering when she'd go all weird again.

What an idiot. Good going, Charlotte, you've really made a great first impression. For a third time.

Maybe he wouldn't think, or wonder any of that. Maybe he was a genuine person. Concern for his student. Seemed like he'd be the type to care for his students sanity.

Didn't matter now though. The moment had come and gone. She needed to let go and bandage herself up. Bottle it up from happening ever, never, ever again. Lick her wounds in private and shy away, far too embarrassed to have him sending her glances if she was too close to the front of the room.

So instead of that happening, she trekked up the stairs to get where she was now and threw her backpack from her shoulders into the open seat beside the unoccupied spot. Settling down with a huff. Happy to just slump in a seat and take a second.

Now she waited patiently, still too nervous to peer around, and instead flicking at her phone.

A text from Dayna.

Yeah, sure. Whatever.
Text me before you do.
Sista's gotta know before her Bitch calls.

Sure it might seem odd--their interactions--but Dayna was just hard shell on the outside. They'd been friends for years. Man she missed her friends. She'd never spent so much time alone like this before. Ever. Not in her entire existence, she'd always had people around--friends around. She never had to re-make her life. It'd been developing smoothly for so long, since she was a tot, transitioning around her without her really noticing. People had just appeared into her life, introduced through a common link.

To Dayna.

Would two days from now work? Say, nine o'clock your time? Hugs to you all. Miss you.

Some familiarity would be so good right now. She heard the scratch of chalk against blackboard, as many of the other students also began to take notice. Putting her phone down, she looked to where she could see Mr.Downey, brown jacket off, showing off the white button up shirt, tucked into his pants writing out something on the board.
