I'm sorry for not updating Friday. I hope this chap can make up for that. Enjoy.

"Charlotte!"

A flock of ravens, feathers as dark and wary as the night, soar far above. Soundlessly gliding unperturbed by the chaos below. One, two, three, four of them. The centre one, balding, matched with cats claws along its chest, flying lop sided in front of the rest sneers with a tilt and dives down in the dipping winds. Screeching out, caressing it's victims with it's seductive calls from it's master: death.

"Charlotte breathe!"

Swooping, pulling violently to the right as the following supporting three echo preached calls from the deceased. Coal black eyes calculating the lost souls below, feasting on those who suffer from their own failing instincts of survival. Bleeding sapiens trying to counter the four mammals perceived as deaths companion. The messengers for all things lost beyond all reason. Animals that do not follow the rules that breathing beating hearts live by. That insist on rebelling with a confident scowl, doing it's duty of bringing death to those who have come to require it.

All wings wide embracing that brisk breeze, catching the gusts that travel under the dark bellied clouds overhead. Leering down, down, down, where torn trees still tousle against a demons current.

Loud are the sounds of gushing water pounding against broken birch wood, tumbling playfully in white rapids. Precise and unconcerned in it's manipulative beauty--it's easy grace slickening every surface it manages to snake ahold of. Barely allowing the mumblings of human baited breath exerted, exhausted, persistent on parched lips, trying to reach muted ears.

"--In shock--Breathe!"

A blurry swaying world, smudged in the shades of a colour blind palette. Head listing to the side, glancing along the muddy waters edge receding and breaching up and along the shores. Looking so gentle, full of grace, so deceiving to the power within it.

Hard to decipher, to focus her gaze to form a crisp image. Half lidded eyes stuck in a shocked trance, barely picking up the details of a man with broad shoulders rising from down the stream. A lifeless slouching body in his hands. Holding the drenched being, muscles loose, lips parted and baring her throat as her head droops back from the pull of gravity. Dark hair sloshing from side to side, pools of water streaming off of them both. The man cupping the frail body to his chest, long legs pushing through the water with heaving frosty breaths ghosting between his lips. Clothing suctioned to his visibly shaking limbs, form slouched in exhaustion. Almost falling, watching as he stumbles with the current, the tiny being swaying in his arms.

"She's breathing!" He shouts desperately, desperately, desperately to her plugged ears. "Charlotte?" Pain etching in on the tone as those very expressive caramel ringed eyes glance her way. Piercing her, studying with a sense of loss as another mans voice replies.

"Go, I've got her! Hurry!"

"I'll take Char, you take M--"

"Go now!"

The man with oval eyes, scratches along his cheek, hesitates for less than a conflicted second, gazing like a man forced to leave the alter before he's trudging up the path, worn and out of sight.

"Charlotte, come on!"

Gasping silty strands of river bank mud into her deprived lungs. Chest heaving up, lurching heaven bound with heat cascading through her sternum erupting in moulting hot pain. Stilted and electrifying in her being, seeping back into her constricting chest and rebooting brain.
