Finger tips graze her open palm, searching to interlace the dancing digits painting across her soft skin, tingling up her arm and drawing lines along the ridges of her knuckles.

What had been thunderous cracks of lighting, and rumbling of angry black clouds the night before, was now just a dismal grey covering the rainy state. Still waiting for yet another torrential downpour to sweep streets and burden rivers. Hell, maybe a few more trees would crack and snap in the backyard.

Till then, they embraced the civility of charcoal skies, and dry roads. Albeit strewn with debris from the night before's wild storms. Rocks scattered by mountain slides where flash floods slipped down into unprotected neighbourhoods. Still power outages in some parts of the city, and certainly a lot of havoc, but with careful and meticulous driving, Robert seems to be getting them through it. Diverting past a house where a large tree had landed on the left part of the roof, looking like some strange reenactment of Charlotte trying to fold her own burrito.

Short brown hair extra fluffy today thanks to the added moisture from the torrential dumping the night before. A pleasurable thing as Charlotte dared to drag a graze through the gentle waves that were his locks.

Admiring his features, his aura. The sweetness to his touch, as if she could taste it like the mint that tinged his tongue. She wants to kiss him again, gazing as he licks at his glistening lips so casually. Tracking his gaze as he carefully analyzes the roadways ahead. Concentration gliding from left to right. Alert and awake with one hand rested on the top of the leather steering wheel, and the other caressing ever so gently between exploring the round palm of her hand to her thigh crossed over the over.

No seductive spice behind his motives, only stimulated by a sensual infatuation they both share with traveling touch. The same way her own grasp will slip down his shoulder, along his chest and arms.

There's a buzzing between them, contently quiet. Able to sit silently, still enticed by the words not being said. By small reassuring touches, swift whispers of still sizzling I Love You's. The occasional bugging from Robert to give him trouble for not looking at her today, but she dismisses it with an all too easy, all too domestic, kiss to whatever she can reach.

Opposed to stormy skies, it's bliss inside their bubble of secrecy. Of hushed promises and trust. A unique bond that only they can understand.

Charlottes cheek pressed to the headrest of her seat, leaning into it and happily brushing strokes down Robert's free arm. The clean shaven skin where she had pressed wet open mouthed kisses to. Smelled his sandalwood cologne, hinted with the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Her own heart skipping like a stone on calm waters as his thumb rubs small circles to her goose bumped skin. She feels light, happy and content. Like nothing weighs her down, that nothing could get her down. That all was just... Love-ly.

Her tone soft and curious, shifting that just bit closer, edging away from being constricted by her seatbelt. "Why'd you help Teresa home that first stormy night?"

He glances to her with a cute curious expression as they turn down another city street, trying their best to avoid jammed up traffic. Streets she hasn't seen before but doesn't take much notice to their surroundings, too enamoured with his caramel ringed eyes looking her over like it might be his last. "You mean Terry's first day?"

She nods, curling a feel around his bicep and clinging which only makes him grin with a self satisfied twist to his lips. "You didn't have to guide her from work to our house, but you did."
