She takes the last sip of her drink, savouring the raspberry taste, before setting it on the counter. Roberts been cornered by the affectionate lady from before, with her curly hair and revealing top. A new unaccustomed feeling buries its way between Charlotte ribcage, a kind of frown matching said feeling. Temptation is a word she keeps hearing littered through the two's conversation and Robert most certainly looks uncomfortable. But it's all muted words and muted colours in contrast to Robert. His aura too encapsulating to contain or veer off of.

It's the little tug of his lips, a self deprecating twitch of his lips, arms crossed over his chest. The way he keeps looking off beyond the lady, looking to where Ava sits with Molly deciding on colours to use for their joint art collaboration.

She tries to not focus too hard on Robert, tries not to keep lingering stares, the heat rising in her chest like wild fire because she so badly wants to feel him. Touch him and kiss him and everything, but first she knows she has to help him, she means, it's been close to a half hour now and he looks pained by it.

Fast thinking as her gaze roams the room for clues. The amicable chatting amongst the people seated around the dining room table, picking at said food presented there. A few still lingering in the kitchen, and a few in with the kids, and again theres Molly and Ava. Can't help herself when she smiles warmly admiring them. Wishes she could just be a fly on the wall and really absorb the fact that they're here together. Heart pumping her body full of warm happy blood at the sight.

Molly has Ava by her side, they're drawing together and if that's not the cutest thing ever then she doesn't know what is. The way her sister will point out things, give encouragements that slowly bring the younger girl out of her shell. That same twist of her lips as Robert just did not fifteen minutes ago when Charlotte had briefly caught his gaze.

Then there's her parents. Jerry and Terry Joseph bickering rather noticeably. Gritting her teeth because they had promised that things would be civil tonight and now others are (herself included) uncomfortably witnessing it.

Anyways. She had an idea.

Picking her tactic, straightening her shoulders just so (because she's supposed to be a confident adult) and proceeds to step past the two men sharing a conversation about detergents, and slips towards Robert. His gaze already locked on her as she leaves her empty bottle behind.

"Hi," She grins apologetically, nudging between the curly haired women ranting on about today's dating system. Curly's hand immediately coming to rest possessively on Robert's forearm as Charlotte makes herself known albeit nervously. "Sorry to interrupt." Sending another sorry glance to the not all thrilled women, then focusing on Robert. "The kids want you to go check out their fort."

He looks relieved, slipping a hand swiftly through his short brown locks (whilst also breaking the women's touch from his skin), and helps roll the conversation along. "Oh yeah? Guess I best be checking it out." He too sends the lady a whatcha gonna do sorta shrug and Charlotte almost matches his pace out of habit but she knows they should keep their distance tonight. Should be seen separately. Although the thought of going after Robert, where he's glancing over his shoulder expecting she'd be trailing after him and he swings subtly looking for her, till he finds her.

That's when she knows she has to find her moment with him. Somehow. Someway.

Then it's the louder argument of her parents, and that's when she makes her depart, because she can't stand their fighting. It makes her skin crawl and the need to escape because it's just awkward and reminds her of things she's trying to forget. Also giving her that extra budge to move towards another direction--a quieter place--the ghosting trace of Roberts gaze running down her frame as she leaves.
