Some things happen and unravel naturally. With flow and ease. In gradual motion and easy understanding. But that's not life. Not really. And not for Charlotte. Life is full of ups and downs, ins and outs, and fast and faster. You can't prepare for some things the same way you can't expect some things. You can't prepare to fight a war you don't see coming. You can't write a book without knowing the life.

What she's trying to say, very inarticulately, is some things simply aren't unearthed gradually.

It comes as a surprise and without a steady pace but by lumps and jumps. The crave to know feeling, almost unreal when a bit of light, a bit of truth, is shed on the shadows. Where once you saw outlines and blackness, now seeing strobes of striking colour.

Swiftly the day had gone by. Started with a quick morning. Molly's adorable yawning subsided with her munching, and Charlottes assistance picking out her little clothes. Her dad had made them lunches like he always does even though Charlotte has now resided to just tucking the stuff that Molly likes (yogurt, chewy bar, ect.) into her younger sisters bag and the rest brought to university for Jay to nibble on.

It had all moved as it always does, but she'd come late. Her mom had a meeting with someone of someone or so she said on the phone which delayed leaving the house earlier. Some bad apologies tossed around. Not that they're really talking much, lately. Charlottes been quiet around her, not really knowing what to say when all her mom seems to be is hell bent on figuring Charlotte out. She keeps hearing the earful lately on what's going on in her working world and things Charlotte could be doing. Like working. That's new. That's the new push. Her mom wants her to join some clubs and get a job. Which she has done both... in Miami. Make friends and get out and about more often. That's Teresa's new theory to finding the fix it recipe for her daughters problems.

Her dads been hanging around her more often, asking more tentative questions and checking up in the sorta worried way he does. It's causing a rift, she thinks. Or so this morning suggested as her parents hushly bickered while Charlotte caught on her name being passed between them. Whatever, she doesn't need to worry about their worry. She just needs to keep focused on what is becoming more and more known to her as her levelling up. She's proud of how far she's come and how seemingly quickly she's done it. She hasn't had many set backs lately and she likes to think Robert has something to do with that.

That's another reason her parents are probably increasingly worried. She's become a little more quiet with them, a little more... She doesn't wanna say secretive because she's not. Well. Sorta. She just keeps thinking about Robert, how great he makes her feel and how much absolute shit she'd be in if her parents knew. It hadn't really occurred to her how much trouble that would really set her in because she had been so set in her own head about how amazing it felt to feel warm again in Robert's embrace--not that she regrets it. She'd do it again and again in each the same footprint. She really would. She knew that there would be consequences for their... Thing(?) but she didn't really think about how serious those could be. Before B-Brandon, she hadn't had a boyfriend, not really. Had she mentioned that? Her parents (mom) had to approve of the boy which they hardly did.

She should've listened to them when they said He was a no. That He was slippery and better to be kept as a friend.

Not that that had been the first time she had gone against their word but it had been the first time she was wrong to have done so.

Uhm. Anyways.

She had all but tumbled into her class late. Bag sorta half on half off her shoulder, heavy with assignments. She was already off at the beginning, fidgety and nervous. The stares hadn't helped, knowing everyone had caffeinated eyes peeled on her stumbling form as she quickly rushed her seat, dropping into it with unsteady breaths. Eyes wide and fists clenched around pulled fabric.
