"Two weeks?"

"Two weeks."

A week and four days since she had seen those caramel eyes.

A week and four days since she had felt his fingers graze her skin.

A week and four days since the warmth slowly started creeping away.

A week and four days he had been gone.

Her back is aching beyond complaint. Her shoulder hurts too, yet shes warm and snug and its strange. She feels the curl of a smile tugging its way onto her features before she understands why. Then that brief feeling of confusion washes away while waking up with the taste of cheep beer still clung on her lips. Breathing out as if there was no air, the phantom feeling of a gentle kiss being pressed upon her lips. The pad of her index finger tracing over where he had warmed her blue lips and blue veins. Skin on skin. His breath still in her lungs, intoxicating her brain and mashing her thoughts into clumps of heat. Left breathless on the shaggy carpet beside Molly's bed, snugly wrapped up in the leather that did not belong to her.

This is the first time she had woke up with the feeling of light instead of darkness wrapped around her skull, invading every nook and cranny of her body.

Leaning up with a groan and rubbing at her temples, she's still smiling, still reworking the flashes of fresh memories. The lacking proximity, the his hot air brushing down her neck, his fingers interlaced with hers, and those warm, warm brown eyes.

The soft murmuring of a sleeping six year old happily clutching her Teddy above her, comfortably snuggled up in colourful duvets, pulls her from her reverie, making getting up that less hard than it usually is.

She had slowly gotten up out of her self made bed, unlocking the door as she quietly shut it behind her. Walking to the kitchen like she were bounding on clouds, finding an empty house void of adults. Thankfully. A few passing moments later and coffee in one hand, her phone in the other, she had gone back up to Molly's room, sitting contently on the beds edge. That ember still burning in the centre of her chest.

Soon the day was underway and before she knew it she was seated right back in that same spot on Molly's bed with the moon high in the sky texting away with CJ as they reminisced about their day spent together and what her friend thought about the family she visited.

CJ had been graceful, more than happy to come spend the day simply at this new house, in pyjamas and blankets with little Molly excitedly drawing millions of reptiles for CJ as they lazily watched some superhero flick.

Getting to know each other further, their face to face selves, and she found herself having a pretty good day. She wasn't feeling shaky or panicky, she was calm Charlotte today. Collected and able to have the conversations they had been dying to have including her further opening up some details about Mr.Downey, in hushed tones of course. Explaining from the start and like an onion, layer by layer, her muscles loosened as she finally explained exactly what Robert was to her.
