"timothée put your hands up." i look over to him, but he stands there with a look on his face like he already given up.he nods. "you go fate, you know i can't."
"yes you can!" i begged him. "you said you will come to fairmount with me—to be safe!"
he walks up close to me, the closest we've ever been since the walk to fairmount. he looks me in the eyes and holds my hand. i was calmed with his touch and safe with his look.
he used everything in his strength not to hurt me, with his uncontrollable thoughts that causes him to flinch. "i'm not going to hurt you." he says.
"i know." i whispered.
"i never had the chance to say it back—but i do. i love you a lot fate. i've always have." he says, his chin trembles, fighting back tears. he absolutely hated crying in front of me and I hated to see him like this.
"i was scared to love you but—it's far too late to lie anymore."
i use my hand to wipe his eyes gently. "timothée, please don't say this right now—this sounds like a goodbye." i sniffed holding in tears.
"if you love me—you will go." he says. "i beg you fate. i promised to keep you safe and i did. it's time." he says, his eyes red and puffy.
"no timothée." i cried. "don't leave me."
"you will. look after riley for me, make sure she's okay. make sure she's safe. i want what's best for the both of you fate."
a tear streams down onto my wound that was on the side of my cheek, i grunt from the burning feeling of it. he holds my hair in place, putting it behind my ears. "let it heal—i'll make a cool scar." he smiled.i laughed softly with the painful feeling in my heart.
"you know i love you fate." he softly kisses me on the top of my head, his kiss felt like the first time he kissed me there. i tried to hold that moment for the longest i could.
he hugs me while i heap into tears on his shoulders. "i love you." i chew my bottom lips trying to stop my tears from streaming down.
he wipes my tears and softly smiled at me. i look into his green eyes, savoring the moment i had left with him.
"i'll miss you." i say to timothée
"i'll miss everything." he says softly. "you're smart remarks that won every argument." he chuckled. "the way you slept with half your arm hanging from the bed, sometimes you'd accidentally slap me, did you know that?"
i smiled with tears streaming down harder. "now i do."
"i wish i stayed on the ferris wheel with you longer, but i faced a fear of mines—with you."
i hold his hand, laying it on the side of my face. "and i would do it all over again." i sniffed.
he runs his hands through my hair one last time. "we can do it all over again, just remember. memories will keep us alive." he taps the side of his head.
