"please come with me to fairmount timothée. it's safe there. you will be saved."

there was entirely no way i was going to leave timothée, under any circumstances. he was coming with me, he kept me safe, he kept me protected. and i needed to do the same.

"can't you see fate? i don't belong." a gut wrenched sobbed tore through his chest.

we were a few distances apart, eight feet to be exact. "you do belong, come with me." i pleaded.

"fate. i cannot."

"you know i can't make it on my own."

he closes his eyes trying to remember his thoughts. "your own—you're all alone?" he mumbled. "is riley alive?" he stumbles upon word.

"yes! she's okay."

"she left with marcus and you didn't go with them?"

"why would i?"

"to be safe fate!"

i nod. "i cant leave you behind. you were there for me when no one else wasn't. without you i'd be dead."

"i almost killed you." the look on his face was indescribable, like he regretted everything he has done. "i would've been the caused of your death."

"i don't care, timothée—i love you." i finally say. "i love you, i always have. you don't have to say it back—but please come with me. i'll die out there without you by my side."

timothée stood still like never before. his pupils dilated, his hands ached. his heart sunk to his feet, he twitched a little only because his body reacted, his fear faded and everything slowly returned.

he doesn't say anything back but instead starts walking. "i have to protect you fate." he mumbled to himself, he words slowly start crashing down on him.

i follow him from behind still keeping a distances from him. he was danger, but i didn't care. i was welling to be killed by him, i will not leave him.

we follow the path, anything that came near us he killed it. he crushes the brain of those killers with his shoes, he was stronger than before. he held more power. the vein in his arms pop through his muscles.

he stops for a moment realizing his strength, looking at his hand and the bloody mess. "i-i'm sorry fate." he mumbled in disgust.

"don't be sorry, i'm not mad at you." i try to calm him. "i'm not mad."

he clinched his jawline and continued walking while i walk along. "this isn't me." he says. "it's like part of my mind is controlled and i'm trying to grasp my thought into place. i am sick."

"you're with me like the old you would be doing right now, so it's still you. fight it timothée. i know you can."

i think for a moment, maybe it was possible to get him back to his thoughts. the thoughts and memory he was fighting for to keep his sanity.

"remember the train stop?" i asked.

he nods, not having complete thought of it.

"the place we first met, it was also the second place we met."

he talks over me. "where i pulled you onto the train." he remembered.

"yeah." i smiled. "when you saved me."

"and when we got to the log house, we did nothing but argue. and you tried to leave me on the first day but i wouldn't let you." he says.

"—and now i'm doing the same. you are not leaving me." i say softly. "i won't let you."

we had a few hours and a couple miles till we make it to fairmount.

"fate, i'm going to tell you everything that comes to mind since i can't control whatever i say." he spills.

"i'll listen, go on."

"this intense feeling in my heart, what is it?"

"intense?"

"yeah." he says. "whenever she's near, whenever she speaks to me. it's like i know i can't live without her. and any guy who looks at her, i want to kill them."

"love, love makes you do crazy things."

"so i love her?"

"i don't know."

we pass a bridge that went over the waters, close to fairmount that i've ever been.

he looks back to check on me for a moment. his eyes gazed at me for a second and he turns back and walk. "still the most beautiful person i've ever seen."

i crack a soft smile that conveys on my face. "no."

"yes you are. since the first time i saw you, i couldn't look away." he says. "now i wish to never leave you because that would mean i'll never get to see that face or hear that voice again."
"gosh i'm saying too much. i'm sorry—i really can't control my thoughts."

"it's okay." i laughed gently.

with only a few minutes left and a few more miles we were finally almost there.

"you'll be okay on your own right?" he asked.

"on my own? i won't be all by myself. you will be with me timothée."

he doesn't say anything else. it's like he wanted to say something but he doesn't, using all his power to keep quiet.

we were outside the barrier, like a tall and huge wall over us built with metal across half the town. the sign was bold and there labeling 'fairmount haven' there were people head peaking out with guns straining towards us with full armor and gear.

"hands up!" one shouts.
