After they visited the small picturesque scene by the motel. Michael had begun to drive the both of them in the direction of the place where they had most of their escapades, as Ember referred to them.

"I've been meaning to ask." Ember stated, looking down at her phone which read 10:30 pm.

"Meaning to ask what exactly? I told you no hints." Michael laughed as he made a turn. Ember sighed.

"I'm not asking for hint, I just want to know what you're doing this for." Ember looked towards him. He stopped at a stop sign and glanced at her for a split second, biting his lip slightly.

"You'll find out when our night is over." Michael turned to look back at the road. Ember furrowed her eyebrows, thinking about what could possibly be happening, she also wasn't sure when Michael was planning on ending the night. Not that Ember was complaining.

Michael drove the car up to a Target. Ember looked at him like he was crazy.

"Why are we at Target?" Ember asked, now getting really confused. She thought she had everything pieced together.

"It's not just Target, it's the Target." Michael looked at her. She furrowed her eyebrows more as they walked through the automatic doors of the store. "Don't you remember what we said to each other when we got here."

---flashback---

"Why are we at Target?" Ember asked Michael, not really completely understanding his reasoning behind taking her here. She agreed, because well she found wherever she went with Michael and whatever they did when they got there she enjoyed. It was cheesy, but it was true. She knew there was a reason why, and for the last month she had pinned it to one cause. They had been together for about 7 months now. She didn't know if it would be a stretch to tell him.

So she didn't wanna take a risk and have it end up blowing up in her face. Ember was also afraid that by telling him what she wanted to, it would involve her letting him completely inside the depths of her mind. By now she wasn't afraid he would run away she was afraid he would think things were going too fast. At first she thought that irrational, but like always she second guessed it.

"Because Luke made me leave the house. He said I spend too much time inside. I told him I didn't, and then he told me the amount of time I don't spend locked in my bedroom, I spend with you," Michael began explaining to Ember as they grabbed a cart. "So he sent me out shopping and I decided to bring you with me."

"Sounds like such an adventure." Ember told him, sarcasm lacing her tone of voice. Michael immaturely stuck his tongue out at her. Michael wasn't sent there to get much, because like many aspects of his life the list was simple. Luke and Michael lived comfortably. They had what they wanted and they didn't need much more. So shopping lists weren't always that long.

"When you're with me anything can be an adventure." Michael smiled at her. Ember rolled her eyes playfully at him. Soon enough they ending up ditching the cart and they opted for a basket instead. They roamed the aisles together their hands intertwined. They then found themselves in the cologne aisle.

"How does this one smell?" Michael asked handing it to Ember who gagged. In all honesty only a few stood out to her, but the rest smelled the same which meant they didn't smell very good.

"I'm guessing that's a no." Michael laughed placing it back on the shelves. They already had everything they needed, but they just got sidetracked and started messing around. He finally decided on one he could but for himself.

"Need anything?" Michael asked, picking up the basket that had everything Luke and him needed. Ember thought for a second before nodding. Ember had been running low on Oreos lately. She usually kept a pack for eating throughout a period of time and an emergency one. She had broken into the emergency one this morning.

They walked to the aisle that held the cookies, Oreos to be precise. Michael snorted a little when he saw the cookies Ember was looking at.

"What?" Ember turned around, hearing Michael make the sound.

"You needed cookies." Michael laughed a little.

"They aren't just cookies, they're Oreos." Ember replied, grabbing a pack of the regular ones. Michael laughed again as he took the Embers hand that wasn't holding the pack of the sandwich cookies. They were on their way to the cash register when a feeling began rising up in Ember that she found all to familiar by now.

"You really know you love someone when you can make going to Target into an adventure." The words tumbled out of Embers mouth before she could think about them. She started biting her lip immediately after. Michael stiffened at her words. He felt his heart pounding. They stopped walking.

"Y-you love me?" Michael stammered, he had only been told that once. That relationship had turned out to be a flop, the girl was only using Michael to get to his friends. Ember nodded slowly, still not knowing what his reaction would be.

"Good, because I-I love you too." Michael smiled at her. He had been waiting to tell her, he was just glad she had said something first. She said it better than he ever could've. Ember broke out into a grin before setting the cookies in the basket and wrapping her arms around Michael's neck. He smiled and put the basket on the floor before wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Is it weird that we just confessed our love for each other in the middle of Target?" Ember whispered still holding onto Michael.

"No, it's just unique and that's exactly what we are." Michael replied to her. They pulled away from each other just enough so that he could lean in and kiss her. They ended up kissing each other like that for awhile. They just did that, shamelessly in the middle of Target, and just like Ember said you know you love someone when you can do that.
