"Miiiiiicccchhhhaaaeeelll." Ember dragged out the word purposely.

"Whaaaaaaaat?" Michael responded, dragging out the word just as obnoxiously. Emma laughed a little as they stood outside the gas station together. The night continued to go on, and Michael's car had run out of gas. So they stopped at a specific gas station, on Michaels request, about 2 miles from their last destination. Seeing it was them, they also raided the gas station for snacks. Ember had also gotten a small hot chocolate, since it wasn't exactly the warmest outside.

"Are we going to you're next destination, cause gas station snacks are defiantly not enough to tie me over for the night." Ember said as they go into the car.

"Yes we are, and where we are going there will be food provided don't worry." Michael smiled as he started up the car. Ember sighed, content with his answer, and leaned into her seat. They drove on for awhile, and Ember squinted her eyes making sure she wasn't just seeing things. The neighborhood they had been driving through looked like the place where Ember grew up.

"I'm seeing things." Ember muttered to herself.

"Probably not." Michael replied. Ember cast her gaze over to him and saw the ever so small smirk on his lips.

"Was this part of you're plan?" Ember raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe it was, or maybe I just wanted to pay a good visit to you're parents." Michael stopped the car in front of Embers childhood home.

"Alright now I was not expecting this." Ember smiled as she climbed out of the car, clutching the warm drink to her.

"Yeah I know, that's what a surprise is." Michael rolled his eyes playfully at her. Ember pushed him lightly, and her gaze went to her mother and father opening up the door.

"Welcome home sweetie." Embers father brought her in and kissed her forehead. She smiled at their warm welcomes towards Michael, and she remembered their reactions when they first met him.

---flashback---

"Relax you're going to be fine." Michael's friend, Luke, said to him when he saw Michael sitting on the couch all worked up.

"What if they hate me?" Michael demanded as his hand found it's way to his forehead. Michael had been all worked about meeting Embers parents ever since the idea came about. When Luke didn't respond, Michael laid down on the couch and stared at the blank ceiling.

"Who's stupid idea was this anyways?" Michael groaned, mostly talking to himself, but Luke still rolled his eyes.

"I believe you told me it was yours." Luke replied. Michael groaned again as he remembered that it did happen to be his own idea. It was when Ember came over to Luke and Michael's house one day, and they had been casually talking. Then Michael randomly suggested meeting her parents, though it took some convincing on Michael's part. She finally agreed. Now that Michael realized how nervous he was, he wouldn't have suggested it.

"Relax it will be a breeze." Luke tried assuring him.

"Easy for you to say, Ari's parents love you." Michael sighed. Luke had been introduced to his girlfriends parents a couple of months ago, and according to Luke, they absolutely adored him. Which, of course, didn't help Michael's case.

"Yeah well," Luke began, seeming to be at a loss for words. "Oh just get off the damn couch, and man up!"

"Great advice." Michael rolled his eyes as he managed to pull himself off the leather couch, and down the hallway to his room. He walked into the room with the door already open. The room wasn't the biggest, but it was simple and Michael liked simple. The walls were white and plain while the carpet was just a light grey. The walls were dotted with various band posters, and a stack of CD's were piled in the corner next to a window. The room was relatively clean with the exception of the stray shoe or shirt.
