The moonlight was lighting up the night sky as Ember and Michael climbed back into his car.

"I think I'm catching onto you." Ember stated as Michael started the car back up.

"Is that so?" Michael asked turning towards her.

"Mhmm." Ember nodded her head, her dark purples hair bouncing with her. They drove for only about 5 minutes when they came upon a park. The moonlight reflecting off the colorful paint of the slides and railings of the playground.

"A park?" Ember laughed as they got out.

"Not just any park." Michael replied as he grabbed her hand and led her to it.

----Flashback----
It was Michael and Ember's second date. It had been about a week or two since their first date and Ember couldn't stop thinking about him. They had known each other for more than a month and it was clear she had developed feelings for him. He had asked her out a second time and Ember recalled how much fun they had last time and she responded with a quick 'yes'.

She waited on her porch for him to show up and within a matter of minutes he did. Ember stood up and walked over to him. He smiled when he saw her and she shielded her eyes from the sunlight of midday to get a clearer look.

"I've never heard of going on a date in broad daylight." Ember remarked as they began to walk.

"You should try it sometime." Michael replied and Ember laughed a little.

"How can I try it if it's already happening?" Ember said back and Michael silenced and thought to himself for a minute.

"I'm not sure, but c'mon we're wasting daylight!" Michael said as he grabbed Embers hand and pulled her along to his car. She got into the passenger seat and Michael took his seat in the drivers side. He started the car and they began to drive off.

"Do you live alone?" Michael asked her out of no where.

"Well yeah, I mean I never used to, but I do now." Ember responded moving her hands as she talked. She had always done that, it helped her to better explain what she was talking about.

"Did your roommate have a thing with locks?" Michael questioned as they stopped at a red light. Ember had a confused look on her face until she remember the line of locks which were placed one below the other down her front door.

"I never really knew. We lived together for such a short period of time. I never really got to know her well and she never talked much." Ember shrugged trying to remember if her old roommate ever said anything hinting to the reason for the locks.

"Oh, why'd she move out?" Michael asked as they stopped the car, none of them really caring that the car was completely stopped, for they continued their conversation.

"She and I never really got along and it seemed that the rare occasions when she did open her mouth it was to complain about something I did, or to even nag me for something around the house." Ember made a disgusted face as she remembered her.

"Well at least she's gone now." Michael gave her a slight smile and Ember agreed as they both climbed it of the car. The stood in front of a small hill which led down into a colorful playground. Large green meadows surrounded it on all sides, except for the forest which was on some of the outskirts. The only evidence that anyone lived there were the few outlying houses across the long road which they were parked on.

"Well this is new." Ember commented as they began walking.

"New is good." Michael replied as they reached the wooded area.

"Yes, new is good." Ember repeated as she sat down on the swings. Michael joined her and she began to swing back and forth slightly. Not too much so that the wind was rushing through her faded ocean blue hair, but to the point where she could feel the warm spring breeze flitting across her pale skin.

They both sat for a moment dwelling in thought and pondering what to say next.

"Should I bleach my hair?" Michael asked out of the blue and Ember attentively opened her eyes a bit wider and looked at him. She knew he could pull off any hair color, and frankly she would like any color of the rainbow.

"Yeah I think it would look nice." Ember responded as she cast her gaze down to her own faded blue. "Speaking of which, I should probably re-dye mine."

"Why re-dye it when you could dye it a completely different color." Michael replied as he began twisting the chains of the swing.

"What're you doing?" Ember asked, curious of his behavior.

"You'll see, I just remembered how fun this is." He answered, sounding determined. He continued to twist the chains until the swing was higher than it was minutes ago. He sat back down in it and let the swing go causing it to spin around and around until it came to a quick halt. Michael sat there for a minute a little dazed as Ember began to laugh.

"Dizzy?" Ember laughed and Michael nodded. They sat in the swings and talked for a longer amount of time after running around a bit more they found themselves laying down in one of the meadows.

"It looks like a duck." Ember pointed at a cloud which was floating by in the clear blueness of the afternoon sky.

"It looks more like a beaver." Michael replied.

"Does not!" Ember protested. "Can't you see that bill?"

"No, that's its tail." Michael pointed at the cloud again and began tracing the outline of it with his finger.

"I think you need glasses." Ember replied as she sat up and leaned herself on her hands.

"I think it's the other way around." Michael got up and leaned against his hands as well. She looked at him for a second as they made eye contact. They just stared at each other, not saying a word.

"Would it be weird if I kissed you right now?" Michael leaned closer to Ember. Ember took a quick gulp and shook her head. Before Ember could get another word in quick, his lips were on hers. She felt almost completely at peace. Small sparks were shooting off inside of her and butterflies seemed to fly around in her stomach. She didn't want this to end and she wanted this feeling to last forever.
