"I can't believe we literally made out with each other in the middle of Target." Ember laughed as they climbed back into Michael's car.
"I didn't mind, it was the first time we said we loved each other after all." Michael said, seeming to be hinting to something.
"Are you giving me hints?" Ember pretended to gasp.
"That's for you to decide." Michael took his hand in hers as he drove. Ember started to piece some things together, trying to think of what this night could mean. She knew by they way he said things and certain things they had done that night he was planning something big. They drove along in silence, just listening to the soft hum of the radio.
Ember smiled, every memory he had brought back for her was happy.
"Technically being in this car is one of the planned parts of this night." Michael told her and she knitted her eyebrows together.
"What do you mean?" Ember turned to him. Michael shrugged.
"I didn't include it in the whole plan since it wasn't a good memory. We had our first big fight here." Michael turned to her. A wave of realization washed over her. Of course throughout their relationship they always argued about small things, nothing that really mattered. They had their first relationship testing fight in his car. Of course now they could look back on it and realize how stupid the argument was. However, at the time it was bad for the both of them.
It put their relationship to the test, and it put their relationship on the brink of destruction.
---flashback---
"I'm really so glad I'll get to see you." Ember spoke into her phone. She had taken a call when they had been hanging out at Michael and Luke's place. Ember had jumped up when she saw who was calling. It was the happiest Michael had seen her be at a phone call before, so being the inquisitive boyfriend he was he eavesdropped. He knew they had been together for 8 and a half months now, yes Michael still counts half months, he probably should've trusted her.
He knew it was rude, but he couldn't help it. Michael never outwardly showed jealousy. He felt it though, he was always insecure about someone leaving him. He had something with Ember, so naturally this made him scared more than anything. He didn't want her to leave him.
"Wow, I can't believe you came all this way to visit me." Ember's voice was low, she clearly didn't want anyone to hear her. This made Michael worry even more, it was defiantly not a family member otherwise she wouldn't be that surprised if they were coming to visit.
"I'll come see you later, this is so cool I'm sorry I can't be there right now I'm hanging out with my boyfriend." Ember said, and Michael smiled to himself. Making it known that he was her boyfriend was a good sign.
"Yes I have a boyfriend, no don't feel bad you're alright we will have all the time in the world to hang out and do stuff later." Michael cringed at the mention of having all the time in the world. He didn't think she was cheating on him. She couldn't be. When he heard her say her goodbyes to this mysterious person on the phone, and she even said I love you, Michael acted like he wasn't listening. He put on a smile when she walked back into the room.
"Who was that?" Michael asked timidly as she sat back down on the couch next to him. Ember widened her eyes slightly.
"Oh, no one it's not important." Ember smiled at him. Michael felt like he could collapse. He didn't really know how to feel. So, instead of saying anything he put on a fake smile.
Later that day, Michael was pacing around his room. Ember had left hastily to see whoever mystery guy was. Michael was afraid, and he was upset. He didn't want Ember to leave him, so instead of being a rational person. Michael ended up acting out of fear. He decided to just call Ember, and simply ask where she was. Before he did this, he wanted to make sure it wouldn't be considered stalking.
