"I seriously can't believe we fought over that." Ember sighed, laughing a little bit. They had been driving for around a half an hour. Michael had finally pulled the car into a McDonald's parking lot. Ember was about to question why they were there, but then she remembered.

"Please tell me you know this place." Michael turned to her, amusement shining in his eyes. Ember nodded vigorously, laughing in the process. They proceeded to get out of the car and sit on the hood. The stars happened to be outside, and the sky was black. It was around 11:45 pm by then. Ember didn't want things to end, she hadn't been taken on a date for so long like this before.

"Honestly, I didn't mind having to celebrate out one year anniversary here." Ember said, sliding her hand into Michael's. Michael softly nodded as they looked up at the sky together, and failing miserably to find the constellations.

---flashback---

Ember had never been in such a rush to get ready before. Michael had gotten reservations for him and Ember at a fancy restaurant for their anniversary. Michael had also told Ember that he wanted to take her somewhere else after. It had slipped Ember's mind to set an alarm that morning, and she had fallen into her normal habit of sleeping until 11 o'clock in the morning.

Ember's friend Bella had promised to help her get ready, and Bella was the one who woke Ember up. So now Ember was rushing around the room, and Bella was playing with the ends of her hair while sitting on Ember's desk chair watching. Ember was dressed of course, she had just misplaced a couple things that she needed. She couldn't find her hairbrush first, and then she was rushing around looking for her perfume.

"Is this it?" Bella held up a cylindrical bottle with swirled designs on it, with tinted pink liquid inside of it. Ember whipped around and made a beeline to grab it. She spritzed it on herself before handing it back to Bella.

"I'm going to seriously pass out." Ember gasped, she had finally finished getting ready after around an hour of running around her room and the house. Her closet now looked like World War three and the bathroom was the site of a natural disaster. Ember was usually really uptight about keeping things neat, but right now it was the last thing she could think about.

"After what an hour of short jogs and sprints?" Bella laughing loudly, crossing her jean cladded legs from where she was perched on top of the couch.

"Shut up." Ember turned around and threw the towel she was holding at her, causing Bella to fall backwards onto the actual couch cushions trying to catch it. Ember smoothed out the dress she was wearing and leaned her elbows against the counter. She glanced at the bottle of wine which was placed next to the purse she had all ready to go.

She thought she would bring it as something nice for the both of them. Michael had told her that he would be picking her up at around 3. Since it was only 12 Ember had some time. She turned her attention to Bella, who made herself at home per usual. Bella was stretched out over the whole couch, her feet propped up on one end and her head laying on the other. Bella was taller than Ember, so taking up the small couch was no problem for her.

"Ember?" Bella asked.

"That's my name." Ember responded, walking over to the chair which was positioned next to the small couch. Her flat shoes smacking the wooden floors.

"How long do you think you and Michael will stay together?" Bella questioned.

"I dunno, only time will tell." Ember laughed a little. They spent the next few hours watching cartoons on TV like the mature adults they were. They were just starting another episode of whatever, but they were interrupted by the knocking on the door. Bella raced to it first, with Ember yelling at her to stop from behind.
