"The World I Live In" Levi x Reader

Chapter 20

I forgot to tell you guys that I'm discharged from the hospital for a while now. It was earlier than I thought.

We were still riding on our horses, all of a sudden, there were spears flying out towards the female titan through some big boxes. The female titan was trapped.

Levi told us to get a good distance from the titan and we'll start using our maneuver gear. But we have to hide Eren somewhere, with that, Levi flew to the tree branch that the commander was on. They were discussing about the female titan.

Levi, be careful, I told him in my head. I then faced forward, Levi placed his trust on us, and we'll fulfill it.

Later......

We're pretty far from the female titan, but we decided to go farther. All of a sudden, there was a loud shriek from the direction of the female titan. A titan shriek. What's....what's going on there?

About 3-4 minutes later, I heard the giant footsteps. My bad feeling is getting stronger. Don't tell me that we really all are going to die....

As the footsteps get closer, I looked behind me, same with the others. Brushing through the trees, came the female titan, again. We kept riding on our horses, but the titan was just too fast to outrun.

We had no choice but to have Eren escape as we fight the female titan.

Fighting the female titan? I'm...scared. But it's okay, because Levi said that everyone's scared. Eren said that, too. But there's nothing to explain why I have a bad feeling about this.

Eren: But...what if something happens to you guys?

Petra: It's okay, we're in the Levi squad, afterall.

Eld: Yeah, so we'll definitely make it.

Eren looked at me, he looked really worried. I smiled at him.

Me: Eren, it's alright. I promise you that we'll all make it.

We then got off our horse, and Eren gave me a sudden hug.

Eren: You definitely have to make it, (y/n). I still have lots to tell you.

I hugged him back.

Me: Hmm, I will. So don't worry, Eren.

I felt a tear roll down my eye. After we parted the hug, I covered my eye with my hair and quickly wiped it. Eren then started to leave. The female titan reached forward to Eren, but we stopped it. I don't know why it's after Eren, but I won't let it touch him. Eren looked behind him, at us, to make sure we're doing fine.

The whole time, I pushed away my bad feeling, but then a picture of my dream came in and then Gunther and Eld got wiped out. Oluo was next, he got caught on a tree branch, but he was already dead. Horror showed in my eyes and I screamed out to Petra.

"Petra, behind you!!!"

Petra looked behind her, but before she even had time to look, she's already gone. She was slapped against a tree. There was blood everywhere. Tears overwhelmed my eyes. No...no..! If I had told them about how I feel, then they probably would still be alive. If only I didn't ignore it...if only...

I was still in midair until the titan hit me. My vision darkened and my ears stopped working. Everything was quiet, my vision dark and blurred. But I still saw it. Eren was rushing towards me, from the movements of his mouth, he was shouting my name.

In my head, I told him,"Sorry." And to Levi,"Sorry."

That's it, I can't stay conscious no longer. My eyelids closed as I feel my life slip away from me. And came what people call,  life flashing before our eyes.
