Chapter 40

The Next Day (9:41am)

I lied down on my bed as usual. I feel so tried these days. And I mean emotionally tired...not physically tired.

Couple minutes later....

I really want to go out. It would be awesome if I could go to the town with my friends. And I'll bring Levi along. I'll introduce him to the 4 people I met. The two guys who I don't know the name of, and gramps and Amy. *sigh* I'm already well off that I'm allowed to go out there. Good thing that people don't know me.

I got up, I didn't need to train today. I was given time to heal my wounded hand. Maybe I can go out then!

I decided to just walk around the building. I walked outside and saw the people training. I saw Eren, and our eyes met. I panicked and immediately looked away. What was that just now? I...can't look Eren in the eyes. I feel quilty. So quilty.

Holding my feelings in, I walked calmly away. But then I stopped. Somehow, the corner of my eyes caught a glimpse of him. Levi. I looked over so fast that I surprised myself. But then I remembered Eren's there and I left.

Later, I asked the commander if I could go to the town. He answered with a flat no.

I've never done this before, but j decided to sneak out. Everyone's training and the superiors are pretty much all there. So this should be easy.

I walked casually as I neared the door. Well I'm not really near, still some yards to go. After I'm in front of the gate, I quickly climbed over.

"What are you doing?!"

I stopped, someone noticed me! Nervous, I slowly turned my head around, but there was no one there.

What?

"I didn't mean to, you just got in my way!"

I heard again. It sounded like Jean's voice. I remembered the days when we were still in training to become soldiers. Eren and Jean fighter a lot. Could it be them? I got worried, should I go to them? ..maybe not, I won't be able to do anything.

I turned around and climbed over the gate. And I ran to the town.

Later....

I walked up to gramps house, I had nothing else to do. And I didn't want to walk around alone, so I got gramps. Gramps opened the door after I called out for him. When we were walking down the steps, he noticed my wound.

"Woah, what happened to your hand?" He asked.

"Oh, I sprained it."

"Jeez, how'd you do that?"

"I was training and my hand slipped when I was punching a thick tree."

"You have to be careful, (y/n)."

"I will. And have you heard about our expedition that's coming up?" I asked.

Gramp's eyes widened,"another one?"

"Calm down, gramps. And yeah."

I guess the people don't announce it huh? What was the first expedition that I had like?

I thought about meetings all of a sudden. They're pretty incredible, how you meet people, they come and go. It's like you are fishing, no one ever said to catch that fish. Its all very random. The first time I met gramps, he was getting robbed. Wait, I feel like I've met him way before that. Well, I met Amy when I was just passing by. And I got myself involved in her problems. If I hadn't done that, then we wouldn't have become friends. I see, its your own decisions. Whether you want to get to know that person or not. What was my first encounter with Levi like? I remembered that I was nervous. He gave me feelings. I blushed.
