"The World I Live In" Levi x Reader

Chapter 5

I was in my room when our captain called for me.

I walked to his office and I was told that I'm selected by Levi to join his squad.

"Heh?"my face reacted in a dumb strucked way,"I-I'm selected? B-by who?"

"You're picked personally by Captain Levi himself,"the captain answered, sounding a little annoyed,"you should feel honored, that means that he acknowledged your skills."

"He acknowledged my skills...he acknowledged them..."the thought ran through my brain for awhile,"Levi...noticed my skills."

"Y-yes!! I'm very honored!!"I half-shouted,  so happy that I could cry as I bowed my head and upper body.

With that, I left the office and speed walked to my room, unable to hide my idiotic smile.

It seems like Levi is short one soldier, I'm seriously so lucky. Luck is definitely by my side.

I opened the door to my room, it seems like tonight, the other soldiers will choose either to join the Survey Corps or not.

I'll be joining it, but in Levi's squad! I grabbed my blanket and rolled a little on my bed, giggling.

I got up from my bed a few minutes later and started to practice my punching and kicking.

Trainee Corps: Cafeteria, 5:23 PM

"(Y/n), (y/n).... (y/n)!"

I shot my head up a little and looked around the table dumb strucked.

"W-w-what, what,"I asked dumbly,"who called my name?"

"It was me,"Connie said.

I stared at him,"o-oh what is it."

"I heard that you're going to be in a squad by the guy called Levi."Connie told me, looking unhappy.

"Is Connie saying that he will miss me?"I thought in my head. I put a smile on,"yeah, but I'll still be able to see you and everyone else sometimes."

I just realized Sasha staring at me looking a little stressed.

"You see, (y/n),"Sasha starts,"Conn-"

Connie puts his hand over Sasha's mouth before she finishes her sentence.

I'm very confused right now. What had Sasha want to say about Connie?

The rest of the time at the cafeteria, I looked over at Sasha a little and sees a worried face on Sasha.

I looked at Connie a little and realizes that Sasha's staring at Connie.

They really are very close friends. Are they keeping a secret from me. Does the others know, I wonder.

"Jeez!"Sasha shouted a little,"I...I....I don't like this."

"Connie,"Sasha continued,"if you are going to just let it be like this, nothing will change. Then....then at least let me tell you how I feel."

I could see the feelings in Sasha's eyes. She was determined and having a hard time.

Sasha grabbed Connie's hand and they walked outside.

"Hey guys, want to see what they're up to?"Jean suggested.

I wanted to protest but everyone seems to be interested except Mikasa. But she went along since Eren's in it, too.

We hid behind the wall by the wide opened door. We were in hearing range.
