bumps in the night are fine
although the house feeds then
stretching, squeaking, the floor's sublime
except for when you need to sleep
memorize the stomps which come down
ephemeral they are, they just made sound
nagging at the back of my head whines
time to evacuate, quickly -- to the pines!

parading around tussles of twigs and traps
running away, i will never come back
only the wind is here to greet me, the bugs too
because i've escaped reality, i've finally escaped me, too
let the light shine upon my melancholic face
empty thine prison from a boy who has a bad fate
many times i have stared at the stars out here
scared that they, too, would strike me with fear
