total coldness covered my skin like a wet blanket
hanging my head as my hands tied and tightened
each rope, my ears plugged as i witnessed her somber expression
she wanted this, i had to remind myself with the confidence of a snail
i had to let her do this, but it still chewed through my chest like
regiments of hungry worms, feasting, consuming, swallowing me whole
energies are electric as we venture towards the surf, and she starts screaming
never before have i wanted to observe that terrible sight, the agony bleeds,
soaring through the waves restlessly, but i look away for a second and she's gone
crawling through the water and catching her, i catch a glimpse of her fantasies
apparently, her mom and dad were okay, and the sandy-haired traitor is smiling
let go, i plead with her, let go of those untruths, what's true is this cold water, this frigid icy liquid
lift up myself after diving into depths unknown, but now at least she's fine (for now)
