chapter 22

4.16.21

ever since harry got that tattoo, a week ago, louis has had this gut feeling that something isn't right. he doesn't know what. harry has been normal and so have zayn and liam. niall is niall. he's so confused because he doesn't like this feeling.

he tried to move on from this feeling because he had more things to worry about. like harry, zayn, and liam. they're out right now doing god knows what.

he had to worry about harry because he can't get arrested again. he had to worry about liam because cops are still crawling the streets looking for him. he doesn't know why he's worried about zayn but they've become pretty close so he doesn't want his friend getting hurt or arrested.

he's at nialls now eating ice cream and watching criminal minds. anytime there's sirens on the tv he tells niall to pause the show so he could listen to see if there are sirens outside.

"you're being paranoid" niall said scooping some more ice cream "they're fine"

"you don't know that" louis said not looking at him

niall rolled his eyes and hit the play button only for louis to make him pause it again.

"louis! stop. just text harry" niall said getting up "also texting him is better because if they're in the middle of a robbery, you call him, he answers, he gets caught. boom! soulmate is locked up for the rest of his life" niall left the room with the ice cream

louis groaned. he regrets telling niall about loving harry. he knew he would be getting bullied.

"can you shut up?" louis yelled

"no" niall said coming back in without ice cream "you need to tell him"

"i know but i just want him to say it first because what if he doesn't love me and then when i say it he's like 'oh i'm sorry lou but i don't love you'" louis said mimicking harry's deep voice

niall laughed "you're being ridiculous lou! of course he loves you. he wouldn't beat connor up like that if he didn't"

louis almost forgot about that. he hasn't seen or heard from connor since harry chased him down and beat the absolute shit out of him.

"i guess you're right" louis sighed "i'm still not going to tell him anything"

niall sighed "fine" he grabbed the remote "now will you stop making me pause it every five seconds?"

louis looked at niall "yes" he smiled

niall smiled back and hit the play button. they watched a few more episodes until louis got a text from harry telling him to come to his place.

"duty calls" louis said getting up and grabbing his keys

"what kinds of duties?" niall said with a smirk

"harry needs me" louis said confused

"oh i'm sure he does" niall still had a stupid smirk on his face

"what are yo- oh my god! niall! we haven't even done anything except make out" louis groaned when he realized what niall was saying

niall stood up so abruptly it almost made louis fall backwards "what do you mean you haven't done anything?"

"we haven't had sex" louis shrugged

"why not?" niall whined

"um one, we're waiting for the right moment, and two, you're being gross so i'm leaving" louis said walking to the front door

"fine! love you!" niall yelled

"love you!" louis yelled back and left

he walked to nialls so he decided to walk to harry's.

as he was walking he felt that feeling again. out of instinct he turned around and looked around for anyone that might be following him. he saw nobody but decided to walk faster.

he got to harry's but before he hit the buzzer he felt eyes on him. he turned around and saw connor. he was all beat up from last week and he looked pissed. it doesn't look like connor noticed louis seeing him so louis turned around really quick. he took out his phone and called harry.

"hey angel, are you here?" harry answered

"yea i am but um" louis stopped when he heard walking behind him

he turned around and saw it was some people walking past him. he looked towards where he saw connor and he was still there.

"lou?" harry said worried

"yes sorry i'm here but um can you come down and let me in?" louis didn't want to risk connor coming in after him without him knowing.

"yea i can but i'm confused" harry said. louis heard shuffling and then a door shut and a ding

"i'll let you know when you get me" louis said

"okay love" harry said and louis tried to ignore the butterflies

louis hung up and waited a minute or two until harry showed up in gray sweat pants and a black t-shirt. he opened the door for louis and louis hurried in and made sure he manually shut the door.

"love? what's wrong?" harry asked when he noticed louis was a bit pale and shaky

"connor is across the street and he looks pissed" louis finally said after he did some breathing exercises.

harry immediately grabbed louis and walked toward the elevator "did he talk to you?" harry asked

louis shook his head "no, i was about to buzz but i felt eyes on me so when i looked around i saw him" they walked into the elevator.

"shit" harry whispered as the doors shut

"do you think he's mad about last week?" louis asked after a minute

harry looked at louis as the doors opened for them to step out "i don't know, he probably wants to get me back. that's why he's out there" he said as they walked into his flat

"are you scared?" louis asked. he kind of knew the answer was no but he wanted to tell harry he himself was scared

"no baby i'm not" harry said and hugged louis "are you?"

"a little" louis said snuggling into harry's chest "it's just very scary because you beat the shit out of him and now he's back"

"i'll be fine" harry reassured louis

"i know but i'm allowed to be scared" louis told him

"well he can't get in unless someone buzzes him up and if someone does he can't get in because i deadbolted the door" harry told him and even showed him "see? nothing to worry about"

"okay" louis whispered

"okay" harry whispered back and kissed louis

when the kiss broke they decided to sit down and watch some movies. the decided on titanic.

after the movie finished they were both knocked out.

they both were dreaming about the other.
