Harry's P.O.V

Madison healed up enough to where she no longer needed stitches. Finally I could show her around. Maybe she could remember if I showed her the lake and the room she first woke up in.

I sat on the sofa in the living room waiting for Madison. She was getting ready. Today, I was taking her to the lake. I heard her soft footsteps come down the stairs. She stood in the doorway shyly.

"Ready?" I asked her standing up.

"Yes," she said. I looked at her body. The cuts were slowly starting to turn into scars. The burns were healing nicely and soon would be scars.

I stood up and walked over to her. "I'm taking you out today, please don't try to run off. It'll be easier on the both of us,"

She nodded. "I won't," she said. "I promise,"

"Thank you," I said showing her to the door. "I'm taking you somewhere special today,"

"Oh yeah? Where?"

"You'll see when we get there,"

We walked out the door and down the dirt path that leads to the lake. The whole walk I had to resist intertwining our hands. I missed that feeling. I missed feeling her lips on mine and her arms around my neck and mine around her waist. I missed it all.

We reached the lake and I looked over at Madison.

She smiled. "This is beautiful," she said.

"I took you here as an apology for whipping your back," I said. "We had a picnic and we swam. Then we were rudely interrupted by another stupid gang member. He threatened to kill you. I was smart enough to bring a gun and you shot him, right between the eyes. We didn't get out unscathed though. I got shot in the arm and in the leg,"

She shook her head. "I don't remember," she said sadly.

I sighed. "I didn't expect you to,"

"I'm sorry I can't,"

I shook my head. "It's not your fault,"

"I know," she said. "But you're obviously disappointed,"

I sighed. "Let's not talk about this now," I said.

"Okay," she said softly.

"Do you want to swim?" I asked her.

"Sure," she said and pulled off her shoes. I tugged off my shirt and she blushed and quickly averted her eyes.

I chuckled. "You can look," I said.

She looked back at me, her eyes trailed over my bare chest. She stepped forward and went to trace her fingers along my tattoos but stopped.

"C-can I?" she asked, blushing profusely.

I nodded. "Of course. You used to trace them all the time,"

She nodded and gently ran her fingers over my chest. "I like them," she said.

"Thank you," I said and brushed her hair behind her ear. "Let's swim,"

We walked down to the water and gently wadded in. Madison trailed behind me. I looked over my shoulder and gently splashed some water at her.

She giggled. "Hey!" she laughed and splashed me back. I smiled. I really missed her giggle.

We floated around for a while. When the sun started going down, we got out and sat on the bank drying off. Madison sat beside me, shivering slightly.

"Are you cold love?" I asked her and reached an arm around her. She flinched away and I retracted my arm.

"Madison, you don't have to be afraid of me," I said. "I love you and would never hurt you,"

She sighed. "I'm sorry," she said leaning into me. "It's just a lot of stuff has been happening and it's hitting me hard,"

I rubbed her arm. "It's going to be okay. You'll get your memories back," I said kissing the top of her head. "I promise,"
