It had been three month's since Peter tried committing. It had been two month's since Tony had gotten his kid a therapist, and things were going pretty well, he had been clean for those two month's, well one and a half of those two months. It had been one month since Peter had met him. A tall, and handsome boy with dirty blonde hair. In comparison with him Peter seemed like a wreck, which he was, but still. He was nothing and the boy was everything, Peter didn't deserve him, he shouldn't dare to even exist on the same earth as this beautiful, god gift kind of boy. But somehow he had chosen Peter, somehow they were talking for almost every hour of the day. They had only known each other for a month, but it felt like they had been talking for their whole life.

Nobody knew about them. Well, Natasha had her suspicions but nothing she could prove. And she didn't know that it was a boy. Tony had promised to let Peter come out when he wanted to when he felt that the time was right. So he had remained closeted. Not because he was ashamed, just because the time hadn't seemed right. He had a feeling that the avengers would be supportive, Bucky and Sam had definitely hooked up more than once (which everybody knew, but they just wouldn't admit it), Wanda had openly admitted that she once had a crush on a girl from her neighbourhood and everybody else had done or said things that made them not so straight. So they would understand, they would make him feel loved, that was at least what he was telling himself.

Truth be told, Peter was terrified. He knew that it wouldn't happen, but something in the back of his head was holding him back. What if they would react like Aunt May? What if Peter was just faking this whole thing? But it had felt better when he had told Tony. Like a weight that had lifted from his shoulders. Tony would have his back, right?

"Pete, come downstairs, were about to start the movie!" Clint screamed from the vents.
"Coming!" Peter answered and grabbed a hoodie to put over his tank top. Since he didn't feel comfortable enough to show his scars yet, Peters therapist had told him to wear short sleeves when alone to come to terms with his body.

"Guess who decided to show up, morning kiddo" Tony greeted. It was actually three pm, but Peter hadn't left his room the whole day, and as long as FRIDAY was tracking him, nobody wanted to disturb the boy.
Peter mumbled something incoherent and sat down in an empty armchair so that he didn't have to sit on the big couch. All he could think about when he saw that couch was that night. That night when May had disowned him when the others had found out about his habits and that night when he had tried...

Peter shrugged, he didn't want to think about it. Bruce pressed play on the remote and Frost II started playing. It was funny how the worlds mightiest heroes would gather and watch kids movies. Even funnier than that was how invested they were.

Peter didn't pay attention to the movie, no matter how much he tried. All he could think about was the guy. He had genuinely started to believe that they were soulmate, made for each other. Because Peter couldn't imagine a life without the boy he had only been talking to for a month.

Before he knew it the movie had ended.
"Come on Pete, we're having Thai food," Steve said and gently pushed Peter into the kitchen. The others were already there, choosing and passing the food around. Peter took a seat at the very end of the table. He took some stuff that got passed to him, but he didn't ask for anything. Just sat there, quiet, listening to his family arguing over a kids film.

Peters phone pinged as he got a text. Nobody seemed to notice, so he grabbed the phone to check his messages. Peter's heart skipped a beat as he saw the name he had hoped for on the screen. His whole face had lit up in a big smile.
"Hey, pretty boy, watcha doing?" The text read. Peter didn't even notice as he chuckled loudly, staring at his phone.

The room fell quiet. Everybody had turned their attention towards the teen.
"Guys, I have a suspicion," Nat said, finally getting Peter to look up from his phone.
"Peters in love," She said. The room got filled with "oooooh's". Peter looked away, blushing hard.
"That would explain a lot of things" Tony teased.

"Guys stop, I'm not in love" Peter tried to explain, but the others wouldn't buy it.
"Bull crap, cmon tell us her name," Sam said. Peters smile immediately disappeared. Her name. They didn't know, they had no idea. All of a sudden Peter got really anxious. He locked eyes with Tony, asking quietly for help. Tony just nodded encouragingly and cracked a smile.

Everybody was Staring at Peter, waiting patiently for an answer.
"Uhh, his name is Harley"
