Day 2

About 10:30am

Chris' parents have taken Eleanor, Toby and Henry's parents to a garden centre two hours away. They would be gone all day leaving Chris and I to pull some more hilarious pranks on Henry! Not that they knew that! Hehehe, are we being too mean? Maybe, but the toilet thing yesterday made him laugh... So no hard feelings... ;) he clearly has some sense of humour....

It was only half past 10 and Chris and I were outside the backdoor, smiling at our handiwork. Chris was making sure the camera on the tripod was steady and had a clear view before pressing 'Record'. I unlocked my phone and called Henry, who was inside the house, petting one of Chris' cats. He picked up.

"Er... this is Henry, a family friend, can I take a message?"

I laughed "You wally, it's me! Come outside, Chris wants you to see something!"

"Why couldn't you come in and ask me yourself?" He asked but I cut the call. "He's coming!" I whisper yelled to Chris behind the bush with the camera, which she swung round to the door, away from me.

"Guys, why couldn't you come in and get ... MEEEEEEE!" he shrieked as his face came into contact with the cling film Chris and I had wrapped across the door. He walked right into it, pulling it away from the edges where we'd taped it to the doorframe, and staggered onto the patio, yelling and flailing which only entangled him further!

Chris and I both sank to our knees in the flower bed, our faces streaming with tears.

"I didn't...... didn't think..... it ...... would work..... that well!" heaved Chris, her face as red as mine probably was. At least she could talk! I had a stitch in my side and couldn't even stand up.

"Guuuuys!" whined Henry, "heellllppppp!"

"Oh no," chuckled Chris regaining herself whilst I cackled to myself, still on the floor, "you look like a bug in a cocoon! I'm gonna film you getting out of this one!"

20 minutes later

"Okay," sighed Henry walking into the sitting room for the kitchen, holding out a plate of Oreos, only one of which had any missing, "who scraped the cream out of the Oreos and replaced it with toothpaste?" Chris burst out laughing and I smiled.

"Henry, I have no idea what you're talking about." I said as innocently as possible, yet grinning like some kind of underworld demon at the same time.

15 minutes later

"Chris! Your computer mouse isn't working!" yelled Henry from downstairs. "CHRISTINAAAAAAA!!!! HELP!!!!!"

I looked questioningly at Chris. "There's a post-it note on the bottom of the mouse to cover the sensor!" I struggled to stifle my laughter.

"CHRISSSSS?!?!?!?!?"

10 minutes later

"CHRIS!" shouted Henry up the stairs, "DID YOU SWITCH THE SUGAR WITH THE SALT?? YOU'VE RUINED MY COFFEE AND I'VE SPILT IT ON THE FLOOR!"

5 minutes later

"JESSIE! HOW CAN I CLEAN UP MY COFFEE IF YOU'VE FILLED THE SOAP BOTTLE WITH SYRUP?"

10 minutes later

"WHO THE HELL CHANGED THE CONTACT NAMES ON MY PHONE?! AS FAR AS I KNOW I DON'T REMEMBER MEETING ROBBIE WILLIAMS OR MADONNA!!!"

"You need to get a passcode lock on your phone." I called back.

15 minutes later

"CHRIS! DID YOU PUT CLING FILM OVER THE LOO? THAT'S DISGUSTING!"

5 minutes later

"JESSIE?! YOU TWAT! DID YOU FILL ALL THE SOAP BOTTLES WITH SYRUP?!"

"Not all!" I shouted back, shooting an alien in the face on the PS3, "Only the important ones!"

Half an hour later

"WHO FILLED MY SLIPPERS WITH SQUIRTY CREAM?!"

45 minutes later

"Chris?" Henry came into the sitting room where Chris and I are still playing Resistance 3 on the PS3, wearing a cap.

"Yes Henry."

"There's marmite in my cap."

"Why did you put it on then?" Chris asked. We both watched the screen because a drip of marmite was creeping down the side of Henry's face and if we looked at him we'd laugh again and it's obvious he's beginning to tire of our jokes.

"I didn't know there was marmite in it. Can I use your shower?"

"Shoot for it." she replied, blasting an alien with a Wildfire cannon. Henry left the room and went up the stairs.

"Chris? Do you think we should stop him?" I asked, switching from my M5A2 Carbine to my Auger and exploding my way through the wall of an abandoned prison.

"Why? What have you done to the shower?"

"Erm....."

"Jessie?"

"I unscrewed the head and secured some sherbet lemons inside it. When he turns the hot water on they'll slowly melt into the water and he'll get sticky. And I think he's getting pretty annoyed with us."

Chris thought for a moment, shooting a rogue prisoner through the sights on her Carbine. "Yeah, I guess."

I paused the game and flew up the stairs. "Henry!"

"What?"

"I highly suggest you use the spare shower in the loft!"

"Jessie, do you really expect me to fall for that?"

"I'm being serious!"

"Yeah, okay." I heard the shower turn on.

"OKAY," I yelled on the noise of the hot water tank, "BUT DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!"

20 minutes later

"Chris, is the shower in the loft working?" A rather dejected, yellow and sticky Henry peeked around the sitting room door.

30 minutes later

"JESSIE!" Henry roared from upstairs.

"What have you done now?" Chris looked away from the alien/prison arena we were fighting in and glanced at me with curiosity.

"Umm... I maybe, kind of, sort of... filled the hairdyer with talcum powder..."

"YOU'RE CLEANING THIS UP!"

Chris laughed. "The hoover's in the kitchen cuboard."

8pm

Chris' parents, Toby and Eleanor thought out pranks were hilarious. Henry had warmed up about it by now and laughed along as Chris listed the jokes. Henry's parents were oddly tight lipped about it although his dad did looked slightly amused.
