Since the accident yesterday (that's what Tony calls it), Steve isn't really on speaking terms with me. I saved his life, so i don't know why he's upset with me. Did I almost kill his best friend in the process of saving his life? Yes, but that's besides the point.

I make my way down to the kitchen to find Wanda sitting at the counter, book in one hand, drink in the other.

"Hey wanda." i say as i'm rummaging through the fridge.

"Hello, Violet, how are you today?"

"I'm actually pretty good today." I say with a smile. "I think I might go out to the mall today, I heard a new shop just opened."

"Actually, i think you might wanna go down to the lab today."

"..why's that?"

She looks up from her book. "You'll see."

I finish my breakfast and scurry down to the lab where I find Bruce, Tony and Steve all huddled around a chamber looking thing.

Bruce is the only one who seems to notice that I walked in. "Ah Violet, come here, i think you might wanna see this."

He grabs my arm, pulling me across the room and positioning me next to Steve.

I look down and see

"Bucky?" I say, my voice shaking just a little. "You..you kept that thing that tried to kill me?"

Steve looks up at me.

"What did you just call him?"

"I called him the thing that tried to kill me because that's what he is. It's the truth."

"He was brainwashed Violet, you can't blame him." Steve says, raising his voice just a bit.

"Doesn't change the fact he tried to kill the both of us."

"Don't talk about Bucky like that."

"Why did you even keep him in the first place?"

"Because he's my best friend! What was I supposed to do, leave him there?"

"Yes! He's dangerous! And who knows how many other people he's killed!"

"Over 100." Tony says, butting in. "but i'm with Steve on this one, he wasn't himself."

I look at everyone for a moment.

"Fine, maybe it wasn't his fault. But doesn't change the fact that he almost killed me."

"That's fair." Steve says as he nods in agreement. We all spend a few minutes looking down at the chamber. "What are you planning on doing with him?" I ask.

"He had trigger words which made him become the soldier. Our theory is that if we freeze him for a week, he'll come out with no memory of being the soldier and he could lead a normal life." Bruce says.

"How is this guy even alive after 70 years? Didn't he fall off a train?" I ponder.

"That we don't know."

"Maybe he'll tell us when he wakes up."

"Maybe." Steve's voice is shaken, you can tell he's nervous about Bucky. I mean, i would too if i thought my best friend was dead for 70 years and now i'm seeing him again.

I leave the room and head up to the rooftop and just sit in silence. I sit there for hours, just thinking. Thinking about Steve and Tony and...Bucky. It's going to be so weird next week when he wakes up. Steve is going to be a mess, I'm going to be a mess dealing with Steve and the fact there's a small chance I might get to see my sister again, but I think Bucky is going to be the messiest. He's going to be in the real world again after 70 years. Strangely, part of me thinks i should help him...maybe.
