The day finally came.
This week has been nothing but pain for Steve. He visits Bucky everyday. I keep telling him
"Steve you still have a few days before he wakes up, give it a rest!" but he won't listen.
When Steve isn't in there, visiting Bucky, I'm in there. I don't know why, but something about him is comforting, but i still don't like him. I don't think I ever will. Maybe it's just for science. I've never seen a frozen human before.
"Hey Steve, how are you?"
walking into the kitchen where he and Thor sit.
"Not now, violet." Thor says.
I look at him suspiciously. "Why not? If somethings going on I should know."
Steve lifts his hands from his face and turns around. I stand there with my mouth open a bit, but trying to conceal my reaction. He looks like he hasn't slept or showered in days.
"Steve?"
"I know, don't say anything about it please."
I hesitate for a second "...ok."
The door behind me suddenly flings open and out walks Tony with a burger in his hand.
"Hey guys, the metal man is about to wake up." he says in between bites.
Steve bolts up from his seat.
"Can i see him?"
"You mean we?" I say.
"I thought you hated him. What did you describe him as? "That thing that tried to kill me?""
"People change" I mumble under my breath.
"Please, Violet. I've known you long enough to know that YOU don't change."
I stare at him for a second before walking off into the lab, the others following.
"Why are we sitting behind glass?" I ask.
Tony turns around to look at me "just in case his memories haven't come back yet. He could still be the winter soldier."
Steve leans forward and almost yells at Tony, but I firmly put the back of my hand on his chest to stop him from getting any closer. We all wait around for a minute and Steve never takes his eyes off Bucky.
"Tony, Violet, look." Steve says.
I look down towards the soldiers chamber and see his eyes shoot open.
