Waking up the next day didn't feel real. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep that night. I couldn't stop thinking about what Fury said. Why would he have kept things about Nat from me? What doesn't he want me to know?
I walk downstairs, passing Steve's room. I walk in the training room and start. Nat taught me a few tricks, but they don't work as a well on a target that isn't moving.
"Want some help?"
I turn and see Steve standing in the doorway.
"Sure" I say. He walks over to where I'm standing and we start. He's a good fighter, he has to be. I mean just look at him.
He grabs my arm and I take his wrist, pulling him to the ground. He manages to get back up and pull my waist down on the ground. He starts laughing but I grasp his leg and pull him beside me.
"Who's laughing now?" I say as the smile fades from his face.
"I hate you." he says, getting up.
"Hey hey lovebirds, break it up" Tony says over the coms.
"Get to the hanger in 5 minutes, they found where the files are being stored." He helps me off the ground, and I go to my room and get changed. I walk out to the hanger where I see Steve and Tony, but then there's another face.
"Thor?"
I stare at his long blonde hair, I can't remember the last time I saw my best friend.
"Violet!" he exclaims as I jump into his arms.
"It's been forever, how are you? And what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to help you get those files back!" he says. I look up at him and leave his arms.
"What's so hard about getting files back? We just break in, get the files and get out."
"It's not as easy as that, Violet." Steve says, butting in. "that soldier Fury was talking about, he might be here. He's strong and nobody knows anything about him, nobody has hardly ever seen him. The people who have called him 'the winter soldier' and from what i've heard he's some form of super soldier, like me.""Then what are we waiting for? Let's go kill this freak."
