One month later

"Violet are you even listening to me?" Steve shouts in my face.

This is the 3rd time I've been yelled at by Steve this week. 2nd time for something that happened on missions. The first time was when I accidentally messed up one of his paintings.

"The guy was in the building, I needed him out, so I blew the building up. What more do you wanna hear?" I say.

It's been a pretty strange month. Lets see... Bucky and I officially announced our relationship to the rest of the crew. Most everyone took it well, except for Steve and Tony. Steve didn't want his 2 best friends dating because he thought he would be the 3rd wheel. Tony wasn't thrilled, and I'm still not 100% sure why?

Nat's doing fine. She's in a coma and we don't know when she's gonna wake up, but I've still got some Hope for her.

Oh and Wanda is somehow in a relationship with Vision? I don't know how exactly that happened.

"That's not a valid reason to blow up a building!"

"Yes it is, he didn't wanna talk so i almost killed him."

"You killed innocent people!" He roars.

"What do you want me to do?" I ask him.

"I want you to apologize to the families of the people you killed."

"I'm good."

He moves his head back and makes the 'what the h*ll' face.

"Your good?" He says slowly, trying to drag out the conversation longer.

I know how this is going to end. No matter what I say, I'll bake him some cookies later and he'll forget about all of this. Then it's gonna resurface in a week and I'll start the cycle all over again.

"That's what i said."

"Hey Violet, could you come help me with my chemistry homework?" Peter says, Knocking on the door.

"Not now kid, she's busy!" Steve replies. "Go get Bruce to help you!"

"That's my cue to leave." I say and almost bounce over to where Peter's standing in the doorway.

"We aren't done here Vi!"

That stops me dead in my tracks.

"Yeah you don't get to call me Vi." I shift my body so I'm standing close to his. I turn back around and leave the room, Peter following close behind.

We walk for a minute and then he walks in front of me.

"I don't actually need help with my homework."

"I know." Giving a weak smile I walk into the kitchen to see Sam just getting back from the small coffee shop downtown.

"I got you an iced vanilla latte, that's what you like, right?" He asks me.

I nod and see Bucky coming to sit beside me.

"Bucky I don't know if you like coffee or not, so I got you this." He holds back his laughs as he pulls out a child's sized hot chocolate.

"Sam, I drink coffee every morning, I don't need a hot chocolate." He looks over to me and sees me looking down and softly giggling.

"Do you find this funny?"

"Hey, leave me out of this, Bucky." I say.

I should probably start working on those cookies for Steve. Double chocolate chip, his favorite.

Bucky sighs and reluctantly takes a sip of the hot chocolate.

"Is it good, Bucky?" Sam asks him.

Bucky doesn't say anything, he just gets up and goes to sit on the soft couch in the living area. I hear the distant chattering of the characters on TV, Amy Poehler talking about her relationship with Adam Scott.

"I'm gonna go join him, Thanks for the coffee, Sam." I say and walk over to the couch, sitting down next to Bucky. He carefully places his arm around me and I lean my head on his shoulder.

"Do you want this?"

He looks over at me as he sees I'm handing him my coffee. I feel kinda bad for him.

He shakes his head but smiles at the thought of somebody thinking enough to care about him.

We lay like this for a while until someone comes running up the stairs.

"Bruce? Are you ok?" I ask him. He's out of breath and pointing towards the door.

"Violet, you might wanna come see this."
