Potato Chips In The Fridge...

The next week was nonstop testing and experimenting. Some of it was simple stuff like how well could I defend myself and how well I could attack. I was a little rusty at defending myself and I was terrible at attacking. Natasha was nice and I didn’t want to hurt her. I had never attacked anyone before. I had never had any reason to. I didn’t like the idea in the least.
I shouldn’t have been worried because by the end of the day I felt sorry for the punching bags. I now knew how they felt. I was so sore I could barely move and it hurt to blink. I went to sleep after dinner and slept through the night. When I woke up in the morning I felt worse that the night before and my body was covered in bruises.
I spent three days taking tests that involved complicated math equations and science experiments. I had never seen stuff so complicated but I solved them easily except for one. It didn’t matter what I could not figure it out. It bothered me so much that I wrote it down and carried it with me everywhere, trying to figure it out whenever I had free time.
Fury wanted to do experiments to see what my temper could do but gave up on the idea when Uncle Bruce threatened to let The Hulk lose in the Cafeteria.
It was Saturday when I woke up without feeling sore. Fury had given us leave to leave the helicarrier and go home.
The idea of home sounded amazing. I was so excited I was bouncing in my seat the whole way there. Uncle Bruce chuckled and shook his head.
“They are not going to be happy if you send the chopper down with your excitement.” He scolded, trying to sound serious and not laugh at my enthusiasm.
At Stark Tower I was sitting in the kitchen eating a grilled cheese when My Uncle came in and sat down across from me.
“I think in light of the time of year we should wait to do school till next school year.” He told me. “Or we can get what you need for the rest of your school work and you could just finish it and be done with it.”
I looked at him confused. “Can I do that? It isn’t like cheating or anything is it?”
He chuckled. “No. Some people have even been known to graduate college at the age of sixteen, sometimes even younger.”
I nodded. “I want to finish high school as soon as possible.” I told him. He nodded and got up from the table and left the room. It had been kind of weird since the night I had went to him on the helicarrier. We had put everything behind us but we just didn’t seem to know how to talk to each other anymore. It made me sad to think about it so I focused on my food.
After a while I could feel someone in the room with me. I turned to see Thor. I smiled at him and he smiled back, coming to sit next to me.
“How are you now that you are home again?” he asked me taking my hand in his. I blushed a bit and got up to put my plate in the dish washer. I went to sit back in my chair but Thor captured my wrist and pulled me into his lap. I snuggled into his chest and sighed contently.
“I’m happy to be back home.” I whispered to him.
“I am glad that you are happy.” He whispered back, reaching down to pull my head up.
“Don’t you two start kissing till I am out of the room!” Tony made his voice overly loud and obnoxious. Tony came into the kitchen and winked at me from over Thor’s shoulder. I could feel my face turning beet red and buried it into Thor’s chest. I had never been so embarrassed. My first kiss and he had to ruin it like that.
“GO AWAY!” I moaned at Tony, still hiding my face in Thor’s chest. Thor chuckled and I heard Tony chortle.
“What fun would that be?” he asked going into the fridge and getting something out. I heard the fridge close and his feet walking around. I looked up when silence reined the kitchen.
There was Tony. Sitting in the chair I had been sitting in originally, grinning at us. He was eating potato chips out of a bag. Wha? Didn’t he get something out of the fridge? I didn’t see potato chips in there. Why would he keep chips in the fridge anyways? That was just weird.

“So does your uncle know yet?” Tony asked, doing a lousy job of hiding his amusement. I narrowed my eyes at him.
“Know what?” Thor asked confused. Tony threw back his head and laughed.
“I take that back!” He chortled with glee. “Does your boyfriend know?”
Thor frowned and looked at me. “What boyfriend does he speak of?” he asked sternly, looking me in the eyes. I giggled at his look of confusion.
“You silly.” I giggled some more. He grinned. “Oh.”
Tony laughed again. “When you tell your uncle I want to be there!”
I glared at him. “Go away.” I told him sternly. He smiled at me.
“And why should I do that?” he asked me cheekily.
I raised an eye brow at him and answered.
“Because he has a big hammer and with the snap of my fingers I can have every sharp object in this room pointed at your face.”
Tony was out of the room before I could finish my sentence. Thor applauded me. I jumped up and took a quick bow.
I was going to be just fine here.
