A/n: i'd be cautious about this chapter. this goes into Sirius' past, and it's quite abusive. please skip if you are not sure if you can handle it.

A few weeks after they got the letter from the ministry, everything seemed to go back to what was now the new normal.

Sirius had learned some new songs, and had learned how to cook grilled chicken.

Remus took the grueling task of trying to teach Sirius something for once, and had learned how to read some of Sirius' music.

Harry on the other hand, now knows what a dog is, after Sirius showed him his Animagus, which Harry thoroughly enjoyed.

Sirius held Harry carefully, memories of young Regulus flooding his brain.

"Good God, i need a beer." Sirius sighed.

"Here," Remus said, raising the beer bottle up with his wand. "-catch!" he flung the beer bottle towards Sirius with a sharp flick of his wand

He caught the bottle as his face twisted with confusion."What the hell?" He asked.

"I'm practicing," said Remus, opening a bottle of his own. "I haven't done that one in a while"

Sirius just stared, smiling. His lopsided grin could be recognized from a mile away.

"I love you, Moony." He said.

"I love you, too." Remus smiled back.

"It's funny, if mother knew that i was dating a boy in her house, she would go mad." Sirius laughed.

"Really?" he said in disbelief. "I would think she had priorities"

Sirius laughed heartily, the amusement shining through his porcelain face. "Hell no. I only told you that because i didn't want you to worry about me." Said Sirius, taking another sip of the bottle he was holding.

"What would she do?" Asked Remus curiously.

"Sirius!" Walburga hollered from downstairs.

"What did you do now?" Whispered his little brother. Regulus sounded bored, as this happened often.

"No telling." Sirius sighed.

He really wasn't nervous anymore. He was already the disappointment of the family, nothing could get worse then that.

Sirius walked down the stairs, stopping in front of mother. He folded his arms behind him like a soldier.

"I know." Walburga hissed.

"What?" Sirius questioned, now shaking out of habit.

"You heard me!" She yelled. Hee face twisted into a sour look full of hatred.

"You know what?" Sirius yelled back.

Her face was laced with a touch of sadness. "I know what you are."

Sirius' eyes widened.

"Legilimens!" She shrieked, pointing her wand at Sirius' head furiously.

Whispers fluttered around Walburga's head, her anger growing by the second. Tears flooded her eyes as she stared at her son.

"I love you, Moony."
"I'm crazy about him."
"I want to marry him."

Not long after, her faced turned to a fiery rage.

"You like a boy?" She spat, horrified.

Sirius stayed silent.

"You- You're my heir!" She stuttered. "What and i supposed to do with a-!"
