It's the next day and Tommy felt better so we wanted to do something. He looks to me and asks "can you teach me how to skateboard?". "Uhm, yeah! I mean i suck at it but I can try!" I say, laughing a bit. "I know you suck y/n, but teach me the basics!" He says impatiently. "Ouch. Okay let's go!" I say, grabbing his hand. He brings me to where he has two skateboards I take one and push off, going forward before stopping and turning back to see his mouth dropped. "What?" I say, turning fully around. "You did that so gracefully?!" He exclaims. I laugh and walk back to help him. He stand on the board, gripping my hand tightly. He gets his balance on the board so I say "okay, you've got it. Now try push off a bit." He does so and goes for a bit before jumping off. "Hmmm, I think I can sorta do it now!" He says proudly. "Haha, very funny. You literally only learned how to move forward Tom." I say rolling my eyes. "Jokes on you I know how to skate I just wanted a excuse to hold your hand." He says laughing. "You could have just asked you know?" I say, annoyed. We both kick off and out of his back garden and towards the skate park. He wasn't joking, he knew how to skate, maybe just not elegantly. We reach it and I see the popular girls from our college here. I didn't like them, and they obviously didn't like me. They saw me with Tommy and yelled over to him "Hey Tommy! Wanna come hang out with us?". "Uh no thanks! I think I'm alright." He replies, stubbornly. The girls jump down from the wall and walk over to us. "Hey Uhm, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date tonight with me?" The main girl asked Tommy, brushing a piece of hair behind her ear. He sniggered and said "You really think I'd go on a date? I have a girlfriend you know?". "Who is she? She probably is ugly!" One of the other girls laugh. "It's me. And don't be so bitter." I say, not having sympathy anymore. "Just because I'm fitter doesn't mean you can just be all jealous." I say with a smirk as the girls' mouths drop. Tommy laughs at me being absolutely ruthless. "She's not wrong, I mean she's fitter than you lot of dim-witted brats." Tommy says. The girls run away, a few on the verge of tears. Me and Tommy look at each other and burst out laughing. I fall to the ground in laughter. "Fucking spoiled bimbos really thought I'd date one of them? I think the fuck not" He says, helping me up. I laugh more and place my hands on his shoulders in laughter. He turns on music on his phone and says "can we?". I nod and he takes my hands, dancing with me across the park. His hands move to my waist and mine wrap loosely around his neck. I rest my head on his chest and I feel his heart beat going slightly faster than normal. Was he nervous? I brush it off and continue to dance with Tommy. "You know, your an idiot Tom." I say pulling away from him. " I know. But I'm your idiot." He replies. "Cant fight you with that one." I say, my hand in his. "I know you can't, shortie." He teases. "Fuck you blondie." I tease back. The way home was filled with laughs and smiles.
