Y/n unlocked her front door immediately inhaling the scent of cigarettes. Her grandmother was awake at least.

"Y/n dear you're finally home" her grandma tried standing up from her chair to greet her but ultimately failed and dropped back into the chair.

"Grandma be careful you don't have to come to the door to say hi I can come to you" Y/n looked at her grandma sadly.

She was an older lady with wrinkles and white hair that almost looked like there was none. Her skin under her eyes looked more sunken everyday. Her grandma always held such a tired look.

"Y/n please be a doll and pass me a cigarette" Y/n sighed as she looked around for the box.

"Grandma you know I don't like you smoking it's not good for you" she hesitantly handed her the box.

"It's just a cigarette it won't kill me"
"It'll only be one I promise"

Y/n gave her a sad smile and turned around to clean up the house . Her mom would be coming over tomorrow just to keep up her reputation of being a good mother.

Y/n lived with her grandma after her parents separated. They were both abusive and weren't capable of raising a child so her grandmother took her in.

Her father was a drug addict always doing something he wasn't supposed to. While her mother was a business woman who was abusive to her family and couldn't control her anger.

They both never cared for Y/n she was an accident. She knew that though. Maybe if I wasn't born they could've still been happy. That was what always went through her mind.
