Y/n walked into the hospital room trying to contain her tears. She watched as her grandmother slept calmly .
She looks so much more relaxed than she had ever been. She took a seat next to her and held her hand.
She thought back to the first day she moved in with her grandmother. The way she accepted her instantly and never judged her.

Her grandmother was like the light at the end of a dark tunnel . The person who would always be waiting for her. Now that person was lying in a hospital room.
She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt her grandmother's limp hand squish hers slightly.
"Don't cry darling.." she spoke weakly.
"I- I'm sorry I just I'm worried.." the girl managed to choke out trying to keep her tears in.
"I'm sorry.."
"Why are you apologizing grandma? You didn't do anything wrong.."
"I should've been home early I could've helped—"
"No.. Don't blame yourself please. I should've listened.. I'm sorry"
"I'm here because I didn't listen when you told me to stop smoking. It's no ones except my fault that i'm in here now"
"The doctor offered treatment for you though.. it'll be okay!"
"Y/n.. I don't want treatment"
"W-What?"
"Even if I get it... it's not a hundred percent that it'll work or that i'll come out of heart surgery alive.."
"Besides I'm old and weak all I do is bring you more trouble.. I don't have much time left anyways"
"I think maybe you should let me go-"
Y/n couldn't hold back her tears anymore. She threw herself at her grandma and cried into her shoulder. Her grandmother placed her hand on her head in an attempt to soothe her.
