Creeeeeak.

I woke up with a start, sitting upright in my bed immediately. I groaned at the light radiating from the door, someone standing with the wand-lighting charm in the doorway.

"Bloody hell, James," I groaned, my voice raspy from sleep, "turn that damn thing off." Listening to me, he whispered the counter-spell, the light going out immediately and shrouding the entire room in blissful darkness once again.

I sighed, my head plopping back down onto the warm pillow and closing my tired eyes again. "When did you even leave Prongs?" I mumbled, keeping my voice low to not wake up Moony or Wormtail. "I would've gone with you if you'd asked. Are you still upset about earlier?"

He didn't say anything, the sounds of his footsteps growing closer and closer to my bed. I peeked an eye open, his form standing right next to my bed now. "James? What are you doing?"

Wordlessly, he pulled back my covers, motioning for me to move.

Oh, I realized, this isn't James.

Alexa crawled into my bed, her arms seeking me out and pulling me close to her. "Alexa?" I asked in a hushed whisper. I held her face in between my palms, feeling the sticky residue of tears. My heart panged sadly for her. "Are you alright?"

She shook her head, burying her face into the crook of my neck. She began to sob quietly, her tears running down my exposed back. I wrapped my arms tightly around her unusually cold body and began to soothe her; rubbing my hands over her back to try and warm her up somehow. "You're shaking... 'Lex, what happened?"

"I..." She only began to cry harder, shaking her head vigorously in the crook of my neck. "I can't tell you."

"What? That's ridiculous. You can tell me anything, love."

"Can... Can we just talk about something else, please?" She peeled her face away from my neck, blue eyes glistening with sad tears.

"Well, what would you like to talk about then?" I laughed quietly, brushing her wet hair away from her face.

"Anything," she smiled sadly back at me, her small face burying itself into the palm of my hand.

Fuck, she's cute.

I tried to ignore my hot face as I responded to her. "Alright then," I ran through my mind for something to talk about, "how'd you manage to get in here anyway?"

"Oh, that?" She bit her lip nervously, eyebrows still clenched together painfully. "I asked some random boy from your house. I was surprised he helped me."

"Well, look at you 'Lex," I pulled at her cheek, "you're gorgeous. What man would say no to you?"

She laughed softly, her eyes squeezing closed as a few more tears fell down her cheeks. "Trust me. Some men would."

"What's that supposed to mean?" She shook her head, snuggling her face into my arm. I sighed, bringing my hand up to her hair and beginning to run my fingers through it. "I swear, 'Lex, we've only been dating for a couple of hours and you're already asking other men for favours?"

Alexa finally let out a real laugh, smacking me on the shoulder. "Oh, shove off."

"I mean it!" I grinned at her, wiping away her falling tears. "You're going to make me jealous if you keep that up."

"Don't be," she pressed a kiss against my palm, "you're the only man for me, Sirius Black."

I kissed her, my heart full of complete admiration because of her words. She sighed against my lips, her small soft hands reaching up to play with my hair. I groaned when she pulled it softly, arousal beginning to rampage through my veins.

"For Merlin's sake Padfoot, if you're going to sleep with Alexa at least do it in a different room!"

A pillow hit my back, forcing me to break away from my girlfriend. I glared over at an angry Remus, his arms crossed as he stood in his pyjamas.

Alexa laughed, diffusing the tension. "Sorry, Moony, we'll stop."

"What?" I asked, offended. "No, we won't."

"Down boy," she said mischievously, her hand still in my hair, "we can always come back to it later."

"But I want it now," I whined, swooping in for another kiss.

She placed her palm on my mouth to stop me, rolling her eyes. "Should I leave? Or can you control yourself?"

I groaned, pulling her closer to me once again to prevent her from leaving. "Fine." I glanced back at Remus. "I won't forget this next time I catch you with Luci, Moony."

He flipped me off before going over to his own bed again.

I turned back to Alexa. Her eyes were already closed as she buried her face into my chest. I finally relaxed when I heard her steady and calm breathing. She'd finally calmed down; the distraction had worked wonders.

She felt significantly warmer now, her body no longer trembling. My chest swelled with pride when I realized I had been the one to make her feel safe again. I pressed a kiss against her platinum blonde hair, the scent of her expensive shampoo going into my nose. She always smelled so good; like honey, sweet perfume, and just her. I wished it was something I could bottle and keep forever.

The peacefulness of the moment ended suddenly when Alexa let out a whimper. I looked down at her, head racing.

Who hurt you?

I tried to suppress the rage I felt when I thought about someone hurting her, squeezing her small body tighter to me. Why won't you tell me what happened? Do you not trust me?

No. That's not the case.

Someone's threatening you.
